If you lost some investigators, and then started a new game, some of them were remaining dead, instead or resetting to being alive after restart. Once I became aware of the issue, it was pretty easy to fix.
Now starting a new game after completing a run will reset all the investigators as intended. Thank you to the player who pointed this out!
