Hey Awesome Gang!
We hope the end of spring treated you well. Things have been busy here at 2Awesome Studio, and we have a lot to share with you today. New content, world updates, and some friends we want you to meet.
Let's get into it.
A few executions were never going to be enough. We added more Killshifts to the game, each one slick, brutal, and satisfying to pull off. Jack has new ways to finish a fight in style.
Every biome now has background NPCs walking around and destructible objects scattered across the environment. The city reacts to you. Break things. Watch the city breathe around you.
We have been putting serious work into the look and feel of Neo Barcelona, and we want to show you two areas getting major attention.
Controlled by La Familia, Neo Barcelona's mafia-like gang, the Sagrada Familia megastructure runs gambling and entertainment on both sides of the law. Their boss goes by "Father", but the title is just that. They are not a real family. They took the name from the unfinished cathedral, and they made it their own.
Neo Barcelona is overpopulated, overcrowded, loud, and full of neon. The Great Vyne is the answer to all of that. A city within the city, built from warm nature instead of cold corporate steel. It is a rare place to breathe in a metropolis that never stops moving.
Lasers
Getting around Neo Barcelona was never going to be simple. The city is full of obstacles designed to keep you out of gang territory. Laser grids are one more thing standing between Jack and the next objective. Watch your step.
Hey awesome gang!
Today we want to point you toward another indie campaign that just went live and might be very much your kind of thing.
It is called SHADE Protocol, a cyber-fantasy Metroidvania about music-based weapons, fast combat, reality-bending powers, and slicing the world apart to open new paths.
Yes, literally slicing the world apart.
You can check out the Kickstarter here:

Because we know how much a Kickstarter campaign can mean for a small indie team.
When we launched Altered Alma, every pledge, share, comment, and “hey, you should check this out” helped push the project forward. So when we see another ambitious pixel-art Metroidvania team taking that same leap, we are happy to help spread the word a bit.
Also, SHADE Protocol recently revealed a very cool collaboration with CrossCode and Alabaster Dawn from Radical Fish Games, which includes secret bosses, special cinematic abilities, guest music from SHIRAKUMO Nagi, and more depending on how far the campaign goes.
So if you like stylish combat, strange powers, big indie worlds, and very dangerous-looking swords, this might be one to keep an eye on.
Please take a look at the campaign, follow it, back it, or share it with someone who might enjoy it.
