Last Hope: Zombie Autobattler · published
Hi everyone!
Before I get into the notes, I want to give a massive shoutout and a special thank you to our community member Mitch. He took the time to write an incredibly detailed QA report that helped me track down some sneaky bugs and inspired almost all the Quality of Life (QoL) improvements in this patch. Mitch, you are an absolute legend—thank you for helping make the game better for everyone! (I'd love for you to playtest my future games too!)
Here is what is new and fixed in today’s update:
CRITICAL BUG FIXES & SAVE REPAIRS
The Trophy / Save File Bug: Fixed a critical issue where closing the Black Market menu without hitting "Accept" would consume your Trophies without giving the rewards, essentially breaking the save file.
Auto-Repair System Added: If your save file was affected by the Trophy bug mentioned above, simply load into your game! The system will now automatically scan your profile, calculate the missing Trophies, and instantly refund them to your account.
Sawblade Prestige Bug: Fixed an issue where the Sawblade tower would automatically unlock itself after resetting/prestige.
Leaderboard Freezing: Fixed a bug where spamming the "Submit Score" button would cause the Steam API to freeze. It now has a proper cooldown to ensure smooth uploads.
QUALITY OF LIFE (QoL) & UI UPDATES
Hold-to-Upgrade: You no longer need to break your fingers in the late game! You can now "Click & Hold" any upgrade button to rapidly purchase levels.
Universal ESC Key: You can now press the 'ESC' key to close ANY active menu (Upgrades, Leaderboard, Reactor, Tutorial, etc.).
Contract Replayability: Finished a Contract but want to test your limits again? You can now replay completed Contracts just for fun (they won't reward extra trophies after max level).
UI Scaling Fix: Fixed the screen clipping and UI overlapping issues when playing maximized or on Ultrawide fullscreen monitors. The UI will now scale perfectly to your screen.
Help Menu Tweak: The new Help Menu can now be closed simply by clicking anywhere on the background (or pressing ESC), instead of just the X button.
As always, thank you all for playing, leaving reviews, and helping me improve the game. Good luck surviving!
