Hey everyone,
August 12 is getting very close, and I am working non-stop to get everything ready for the launch. Since I am developing this entirely on my own, every bit of feedback and support means a lot to me. I wanted to share a quick rundown of the major things I have been tweaking and adding recently. Also, I am still working on fishing and beekeeping, but I'm not sure if they will be ready for Early Access. I'm doing my absolute best!
I gave the game a massive visual style overhaul, and playing it feels much more satisfying now.
By default, this new style will be turned on.
However, if you prefer, you can easily turn it off in the settings anytime.
You can now officially select and change your microphone input device directly from the settings menu.
Item deliveries in the game are now handled using these new devices. They fit the world's vibe much better and make the gameplay loop feel more immersive.
I have spent a lot of time working under the hood:
Reduced unnecessary network update frequencies to make networking much more efficient.
Worked heavily on frame rates.
Just a quick note: I am aiming for a stable 60 frames per second, and just to clarify, I recorded the footage on a very old PC! Performance can still vary depending on your computer, but I am doing my best to make it run well for everyone.
The user interface got a refresh. While it is still a work in progress, it now fits the game's overall theme and aesthetic much better and feels more cohesive.
Players can now change their costumes and outfits directly in the game.
Added some new ways to interact with other players:
You can now push each other around.
You can use hotkeys like F1 and F2 to trigger dances and character expressions.
