💳 How Credit Cards Worked in the 1980s

Before payment terminals, buying with a credit card was practically a workout. 😄

The embossed card was placed into a mechanical machine called a *"Knuckle Buster."*

A carbon-copy receipt was laid over the card. The cashier slid a heavy metal handle across it with the famous *"CA-CHINK!"*, imprinting the card details onto the receipt.

Then they checked a booklet of stolen card numbers.

Big purchase? Time to call the bank for an authorization code.

Today, you just tap your card. Back then... you earned the purchase! 💪😂

That process is represented in Game Store Chronicle, come check this out!
