The Steam demo has been updated with changes to grassland combat and town menus, along with revised tavern dialogue and item descriptions.
Adventure and combat
- Added combos for landing consecutive hits on the same enemy.
- Increased the attack range of the Ring and Staff, and adjusted the Ring’s performance.
- Crates can now drop unidentified weapons. Bring them back to town for appraisal.
- Added an introduction to finding a treasure chest, returning to town, appraising a weapon and equipping it during your first adventure.
- Adjusted enemy groups and replenishment in the grassland.
- Added a treant that throws explosive fruit, with adjustments to make its projectiles and explosions easier to see.
- Reworked the wind spirits’ movement: they move along irregular paths and bounce off obstacles.
- Adjusted some enemy attacks and stats, and fixed a bug that made certain enemies move faster than intended.
Town and controls
- Made it easier to report completed quests and appraise weapons after returning to town.
- Depending on the appraised weapon, you may now be prompted to equip it immediately.
- Added switching between guild screens with Q/E or LB/RB on a controller.
- Added switching between characters on the equipment screen.
- Quest completion sequences can now be skipped with a button or key.
- Improved settings controls and added separate volume controls for different categories of sound effects.
- Added Return to Title to the guild and pause menus.
Dialogue, descriptions and presentation
- Expanded tavern conversations and revised character voices and dialogue flow.
- Revised quest text and descriptions for weapons, enchantments and level-up cards.
- Changed the appraisal sequence to reveal the results together with a sound cue.
- Updated the grassland golem boss’s entrance sequence.
- Adjusted projectile shadows, portrait transparency and sound effects.
- Fixed quests that could not be completed in the demo appearing in the quest list, along with menu control bugs.
