1.0 Release Date Changes.

I'm going to keep it concise so we're not taking up too much of your time, but I also want to give everyone as much info about this as possible.

Firstly, this post should've been made a week ago.

Up to this point, our planned release date for 1.0 was Late August / Early September. Unfortunately, we are not able to finish everything in time for that, so we will have to move it back. We've been thinking about what would be an ideal time to move the release date to, so that we have plenty of time to finish everything, but also so we can time it with steam events as well.

Currently, we have decided that Mid November of this year will be our new release window. We will be more transparent on the exact date as time goes on, but for now, that is what I'm comfortable with saying.

On a semi-related note.

In case anyone is wondering what is left for us to work on, here is a non-exhaustive list of things that we are still working on.

  • Magic weapons (and a system to govern their special logic)
  • Magic armor
  • Magic NPC in Kingdom (for crafting magic items/weapons)
  • Various Layer 3 biomes (many of them are 50% completed)
  • Random Layer 3 structures
  • Progression quests for Layer 3
  • Layer 3 Boss
  • An intro screen
  • Various other QOL improvements largely based on community feedback

and various other things.

This is most of the larger priority things we are either currently working on, or have yet to start.
So there is a lot we still have to do, hence why we have to delay release, sadly.

I want to apologize to everyone who has been waiting the past few months leading up to his point. This was not an easy decision for us, partly because it's getting harder for us to keep going like this for eight years straight. Delaying is actually quite costly, and we appreciate all the people who have been patient with us.

Lastly

We will continue to do Steam posts like this updating you on what we are working on; showing off the cool parts of what we're doing. But for this post, I'm not really able to do it in the same capacity. I prefer to have a good amount of stuff that is showable.
But for now, please have this!
