Progression, Crosshair & New Player Experience Update

Aim Clicker · published 6 Sep 2026, 17:12 UTC

This update focuses on making the beginning of Aim Clicker smoother, giving players more control over their aim setup, and making long-term progression easier to understand.

Smoother New Player Progression

The beginning of the game has been reworked around a clearer series of Getting Started quests.

New players are now gradually introduced to the core systems instead of being shown everything at once.

  • Hit your first targets
  • Buy your first Upgrade
  • Start building your Upgrade Tree
  • Complete your first Challenge
  • Open your first Case
  • Visit Case Collections
  • Deposit your first skin

Each objective provides early-game rewards and a direct GO TO shortcut to the relevant system.

The early Cash and XP progression has also been adjusted, making the first upgrades and unlocks feel smoother while keeping the long-term grind intact.

Your current tutorial objective is now displayed directly in the sidebar together with its progress, so it is much easier to understand what to do next.

Full Crosshair Settings

Your gameplay crosshair is no longer tied to the crosshair items you own.

A dedicated Crosshair Settings menu has been added, allowing you to customize your actual aiming reticle independently from your cosmetic collection.

You can customize:

  • Crosshair Style
  • Size
  • Gap
  • Thickness
  • Alpha
  • Center Dot
  • Outline

Available crosshair styles now include:

  • T
  • Dot
  • Square
  • Classic
  • Hollow Circle

Your settings are saved between sessions.

Crosshair items still remain part of collecting, progression and profile customization, but you are now free to use the aiming setup that feels best for you.

Improved Case Collections

Case Collections now explain the deposit system much more clearly.

Opening a skin and permanently adding it to a Collection are now clearly separated actions.

When depositing a skin:

  • Click the skin to select it
  • Review the selected skin and deposit warning
  • Press DEPOSIT to confirm
  • Depositing permanently consumes one unlocked copy.

The game now clearly warns you before the item is removed from your inventory.

During the new player quest, the correct skin is highlighted and the game can guide you directly to the correct Collection.

    Account & Progression HUD Rework

The top account bar has been redesigned to make your progression easier to read without constantly opening additional menus.

It now displays information such as:

    • Steam nickname
    • Badge and Profile Title
    • Prestige Level
    • Career Rank
    • Account Level
    • Account Prestige
    • Login Streak
    • Aim Rating
    • Weekly League
    • Balance
    • Completed Collection Sets

    Faster Access to Progression

Prestige, Achievements and Contracts are now permanently accessible from the top navigation.

You no longer need to return to the Play screen just to check your progression or claim rewards.

    Aim Rating

The benchmark system has been expanded into Aim Rating.

Aim Rating gives you a clearer overview of your overall aim performance across multiple tests and helps identify areas that may be worth training.

Personal Bests are still tracked separately.

    Challenge Improvements

Challenges received another usability and progression pass.

    • Clearer difficulty selection
    • Improved Personal Best visibility
    • Better Challenge Result presentation
    • Improved Leaderboard layout
    • Better separation between Difficulty and View filters
    • Daily Challenges can rotate through more Challenge modes
    • Challenge Mastery provides additional progression rewards

    Account Level Rewards

Account Level now plays a larger role in overall progression.

Additional rewards have been added throughout the early Account Levels, giving players more reasons to progress outside of the Upgrade Tree and Career Rank.

    PLAY Screen Cleanup

The Play screen has been cleaned up to keep the most important information visible while giving the actual aim area more room.

Several duplicate or unnecessary statistics have been removed or consolidated.

    Settings Rework

Settings have been reorganized into clearer sections:

    • General
    • Crosshair
    • Profile

The layout has also been improved across:

    • Sensitivity
    • Display settings
    • Performance settings
    • Accessibility
    • Crosshair customization
    • Profile information

    Aim Descent Visual Update

Aim Descent now follows the same visual style as the other major sections of the game.

Its header, description and content spacing have been adjusted to make the page feel more consistent with the rest of Aim Clicker.

    General UI Polish

A large number of smaller UI improvements were also made throughout the game.

    • Cleaner layouts
    • Improved spacing
    • Larger and more readable controls
    • Clearer Collection instructions
    • Improved progression indicators
    • Better Profile presentation
    • More consistent headers between major sections
    • Better use of available screen space
    More from Aim Clicker
