For anyone who has ever asked "wait, how do you actually play this," the school has published an official Student Handbook. Consult it. Cherish it. Do not eat it.
TAGGING IS NOW A BUTTON
By popular vote of the PTA (that's you), tagging has been moved to its own dedicated button instead of whatever chaotic system we had going before. Your thumbs thank you.
NEW: THE VOTING STAGE
No more getting stuck playing Sardines for the ninth round in a row because the universe hates you. There's now a voting stage between rounds where the class gets a say in what's next. Democracy: now available at recess.
THE ARCADE HAS BEEN RENOVATED
The Arcade map got a facelift over the break. Go check it out before someone spills juice on it again.
VFX & SFX CLEANUP
We sent the janitor through with a mop and streamlined a bunch of visual and sound effects across the board. Everything should look and feel a little cleaner and a lot less cluttered.
VOICE CHAT FIXED
Yes, we heard you. Yes, it was annoying. Yes, we fixed it. You can now yell at your friends across the playground without the walkie-talkies cutting out.
AND A BUNCH OF OTHER STUFF
Assorted bug fixes and small tweaks that didn't make the announcement but were absolutely still bothering somebody. You know who you are.
OH, AND ONE MORE THING
For today only, 8/15/2026, Recess is $0.80. That's not a typo. Grab your friends, raid your piggy bank, and come play. Sorry it was falsly advertised as free. The higherups have a maximum discount that we were unaware of so we did the best we could.
To every single student, hall monitor, and lunch lady who sent in feedback, reported a bug, or stuck around through the rough patches — thank you. This update wouldn't exist without you.
