Dear Players & Community,
First of all, I would like to thank every single one of you who played The Birth Cry, shared their feedback, and supported the game during this launch period!
As a solo developer, I am working hard to improve your experience step by step. Today, I'm excited to share Update v1.10, which focuses on performance, stability, and quality-of-life improvements.
Story Mode Fixes: Resolved several minor issues and bugs reported in the narrative flow to ensure a smoother playthrough.
Updated Settings Menu: Reorganized the settings interface for easier customization and better accessibility.
Enhanced Optimization: Applied deeper optimization passes across lighting and environmental assets to boost FPS stability on lower-end systems.
Expanded Resolution Options: Added broader and more detailed resolution scaling options to support a wider range of display setups.
Development on The Birth Cry has always been a humble journey—built entirely on a single, low-spec laptop with 4GB of RAM.
Recently, I encountered severe hardware issues and a breakdown with this machine, which temporarily slowed down the workflow and made testing quite challenging. Despite these technical hurdles, I am fully committed to supporting and expanding the game. Thank you so much for your patience, empathy, and understanding as I navigate these hardware limitations!
With this update, the foundational architecture for future online / multiplayer functionality has officially been laid under the hood!
While true co-op is still in development for the long run, I've left a secret doorway hidden inside the current build...
🔍 A Tiny Hint for the Curious: Keyboard shortcuts can sometimes unlock secrets where you least expect them... If you hold three specific keys together in the main menu—perhaps involving Ctrl, Alt, and a certain mark X—you might just step into the proto-lobby yourself.
Thank you all for being part of this process. Your reviews and support keep this project alive!
