This update adds three major new areas to LIVORA, all designed around the same idea: the different parts of your Life should connect to each other rather than exist in isolation.
You can now build a much more believable shared household, deal with changing independence and support needs through Health, and begin an entirely new Creator journey that can grow from a personal interest into a Career, Business or wider Public Life.
HOME is now about far more than the property you live in.
Your household can include partners, family, friends and housemates, with the people around you continuing to live their own Lives while sharing yours.
Household members can have their own:
jobs and Careers;
changes in employment;
Health and personal circumstances;
relationships and wider Lives;
financial responsibilities within the home.
And household finances now depend much more on who actually lives there and what their role is.
If you're an adult still living with your parents, you pay board rather than suddenly becoming responsible for their mortgage, rent and household bills. Your parents remain responsible for their home and continue supporting it through their own working or retirement circumstances.
If you live with a partner, they can contribute towards shared household costs based on your arrangement and their own circumstances.
And if your adult child still lives at home and has a job, they can contribute board while continuing to have their own income and Life independently of yours.
Nobody's full salary is simply added to your bank account — their contribution reduces the part of the household costs that actually belongs to you.
Shared Living also includes:
inviting people to move in;
finding housemates;
shared finances;
household responsibilities;
guests, privacy and noise;
everyday routines;
genuine disagreements and compromise;
residents eventually moving out.
Stable households can simply work well too. LIVORA doesn't need to manufacture conflict just because several people live together.
Health now includes a new Independence & Support experience.
This is built around one question:
How can you continue living the Life you want when your circumstances change?
Age alone never means somebody suddenly needs care.
A healthy older player can remain completely independent, while a younger player recovering from an illness or injury may temporarily need practical help.
Support can come from:
your partner;
adult children;
siblings;
friends;
professional services;
changes to your home.
You can also make adaptations that help you remain independent, review support as your situation changes and reduce or end it again when you no longer need as much help.
Later in Life, bigger choices may also appear around:
staying in your current home;
adapting it further;
getting more support at home;
moving somewhere more suitable;
moving closer to family.
The system is designed around independence and choice, not automatically pushing older characters towards care.
Digital Life now includes a completely new Creator path.
You can start creating through:
Video;
Streaming;
Podcasting;
Writing;
Photography;
Music.
Projects develop through real stages and take genuine time from your Life.
You might start with a small audience and stay that way for years — and that is a perfectly valid Creator Life. There are no follower-grinding mechanics or endless engagement dashboards.
As your work develops, you may:
meet collaborators;
build genuine creative connections;
appear as a guest;
attend Creator events;
take commissions;
receive sponsorships;
form commercial partnerships.
If your creative work becomes commercially significant, you can choose whether to keep it alongside your existing job, formalise it as side self-employment, or eventually make it your main work.
Nothing forces that transition.
Some Creators may eventually become widely recognised enough for their work to move beyond their usual audience.
That can lead into LIVORA's existing Public Life system through things such as:
interviews;
media appearances;
public talks;
wider public reaction;
old public work resurfacing later.
But Creator Life and Public Life remain separate.
You can spend an entire Life making meaningful work without ever becoming famous.
And if you do become publicly visible, your partner, children and family don't suddenly become content. Their privacy and their own choices continue to matter.
These systems are designed to work across decades.
A housemate can become an important long-term friend.
A partner's Career can change how you share household costs.
An adult child can stay at home, find work, contribute board and eventually move into their own Life.
Temporary support after a Health problem can end again after recovery.
A Creator can become successful, take several years away, return later, change direction or eventually retire while everything they created remains part of their Life story.
That kind of continuity is a big part of what LIVORA is built around.
Alongside the new features, 5.2 also includes further fixes, performance improvements, local-first improvements and general polish across LIVORA, with particular attention paid to keeping long-running Lives fast and responsive.
As always, if you've got ideas for something you'd like to see expanded or added next, I'd love to hear them.
Thank you for playing LIVORA.
