A journey through time, memory, and truth is about to begin. Join the playtest now, step into the world of Kill Me Yesterday, and experience its distinctive vision of a cyberpunk world in 2040.

This playtest features part of the game’s first chapter, offering an introduction to its core gameplay and the beginning of its story. Players will also enter the unique “Mindscape” for the first time—a place where memories are more than echoes of the past; they may hold the clues that lead to the truth.

How to Join the Playtest

Visit the Kill Me Yesterday Steam store page and click “Join the Playtest” to download and play.

Please note that the current Playtest build is only available in Simplified Chinese.

This Playtest build is still in development, so you may encounter bugs or content that has not yet been fully polished.

Playtest FAQ

Q: What languages are supported?

A: Please note that the playtest is currently available in Simplified Chinese only. English is not supported at this time.


Q: What does this playtest include?

A: This playtest features part of the game’s first chapter. You’ll get an initial glimpse into its world, meet some of the characters, and experience the unique “Mindscape” gameplay for the first time. The playtest takes approximately one hour to complete.


Q: When does the playtest end?

A: We're leaving it open indefinitely for now. If we decide to close it down the line, we'll make an announcement well in advance.


Q: Will my progress carry over to the full game?

A: No, progress will not carry over. You'll need to start a fresh save when the full game launches.


Q: Am I allowed to stream, record, or post screenshots?

A: Absolutely! There are no embargoes or NDAs for this playtest. Feel free to stream, upload your gameplay, and share your thoughts on social media.
