New Content

Villagers Can Defend Themselves

  • Villagers can now fight attacking enemies on their own.
  • They can defend themselves and help protect the settlement during attacks.

Last Man Standing

  • If the Great Hall is destroyed while another player is still alive, the run no longer ends immediately. Surviving players can rebuild the Great Hall and make respawning possible again.
  • Permadeath only becomes unavoidable when no living player remains. If the host abandons the run during Last Man Standing, the run also ends in permadeath.
  • After a confirmed permadeath, the death screen now shows whether any run-bound Owned Items were lost and lists each lost item and quantity.

Three New Head Starts

  • Forged Ahead: Replaces your starting axe with a Tier II axe.
  • Fate's First Scroll: Choose one of three randomly selected Tier III Soul Scrolls at the beginning of the game.
  • Gilded Sackrunner: Summons a special enemy with exactly 777 health. It drops one coin every five seconds and rewards 777 coins and 777 experience when defeated.
  • Only the player who summoned the Sackrunner can damage it.

New Siege Trolls

  • Specialized trolls carrying heavy siege hammers can appear from Siege Tier 3 onward.
  • They primarily target buildings, walls, and gates.
  • Stronger variants and larger groups appear during higher siege tiers.

Five New Siege Hammers

  • Siege Troll weapons can be found and used by players.
  • Tier VI enemies use and can drop the strongest Tier V version.

New Rare Enemy Weapon Drops

  • Eligible enemies now have a 1% chance to drop their signature weapon.
  • Goblins and Warriors can drop Iron Legacy.
  • Archers can drop the Hunter's Longbow.
  • Trolls and Boyars can drop the Troll Club.
  • Siege Trolls can drop a Siege Hammer.

New Rune Shield

  • Successfully blocking an attack charges the shield with the prevented damage.
  • The shield can store up to 50 damage.
  • Releasing the stored power damages enemies within a 5-meter radius.

Six New Hunter's Longbow Soul Scrolls

  • Each scroll tier progressively reduces the bow's draw time.
  • The highest tier reduces draw time by up to 100%.

Two New Settlement Upgrades

  • The Settlement upgrade pool has been expanded from 38 to 40 options.
  • Village Militia I: Villager attacks deal an additional 2% to 4% of the enemy's maximum health.
  • Village Militia II: Increases this additional damage to 4% to 6%.

Improved Item Pickups

  • Targeted items are now highlighted more clearly.
  • The item name, icon, tier, and required interaction key are displayed when picking it up.

Clearer Villager Tasks

  • Icons above villagers now show whether they are working, fighting, carrying resources, or heading toward storage.
  • Breaks, recovery periods, and missing assignments are easier to recognize.

New Connection Overview

  • The pause menu now displays the connection status, host or client role, connected players, and ping.

Separate Dialogue Volume

  • Voices and character vocalizations can now be adjusted independently from music and other sound effects.

Stability and Quality-of-Life Improvements

  • Improved WorldTimer handling and Steam leaderboard submissions so completed runs are recorded more reliably.
  • Loading and continuing a game now restore the world, settlement, warehouse inventory, villagers, and equipped items more reliably.
  • Players joining an ongoing co-op game now receive the correct world state, enemies, and current siege progress more consistently.
  • Ongoing jobs, carried resources, and special enemies such as the Gilded Sackrunner are restored correctly after reconnecting.
  • Villagers are less likely to become stuck while traveling to storage or depositing resources.
  • Villagers no longer incorrectly appear empty-handed after loading while carrying a resource.
  • Bow projectiles, equipped weapons, hotbar displays, and damage values are now more reliable.
  • Maximum stamina scroll bonuses are calculated more consistently and remain correct after loading.
  • The death screen now displays total damage dealt more accurately.
  • Building previews, road connections, and navigation around newly placed buildings have been improved.
  • Reduced short stutters in dense forests, large settlements, major sieges, and situations involving many dropped coins.
  • Failed online item actions are less likely to leave items in an incorrect or incomplete state.
