Fun changes with this update v0.14.0!

  • Jarrell 1997 scenario has been added - this is difficult to get accurate as there is limited conflicting information and reports but I did my best!

  • Tornado formation logic changed so that some tornadoes touch down ultra-skinny, and others much wider

  • Horizontal vortices can be narrower now

  • Setting added for number of "rings" of detail loaded around you in the map. So far it's been fixed at 1, so 500m of map is loaded around your position. This can now go up to 5/2.5km.

  • Subvortices have their own localised winds now

  • The bottom of the tornado funnel can now move independently of the top of the funnel, making them even more lifelike and dynamic

  • The map generator now imposes a bit more grid-like structure to the roads, making the road network more interconnected than before, it also clusters towns near each other for added realism.

  • When you warn a town, it also warns all towns connected horizontally and/or vertically to it, so if they're clustered you just need to warn any single town in the cluster

  • Warning logic is updated, so rather than just unsheltering unconditionally, residents will remain sheltered as long as the tornado is within 5km

  • Forest tiles have been added

  • Map tile icons have been updated to make the mini-map more "alive"

As always, enjoy! :)

In-game event16 Sep 2026Barns, Farms & Industrial Zones - v0.32.0v0.32.0 is part of my ongoing effort to make the map feel more alive and populated. I still have a long way to go but this feels like a step in the right direction. We now have farmsteads that are procedurally generated, the positioning and types of silos, hay bales, vehicles, houses and so on are all randomised. Some will have a shelterbelt, other's wont, some will have one that wraps around t…In-game event12 Sep 2026v0.31.0 - Tornado Logbook & Updated Tornado BehaviourI am genuinely excited to release this update! (v0.31.0) it introduces a tornado logbook, consisting of personal bests/records and an individual record of every tornado you intercept. Each photo you take is associated with each tornado, so you can go through your logbook, see key stats about the tornado, and flick through the photos that give an overview of the tornado's life cycle. This is rea…In-game event6 Sep 2026Introducing the SD60 Freight Train! - v0.30.0Version 0.30.0 brings something I have wanted to add for quite a while: a freight train and level crossings, in this case the SD60. There will always be at least one freight train line, maximum two, and freight trains will move along them between 10-40mph. There are also level crossings so they can block you when trying to escape a tornado! I have also updated the vehicle impact physics so road…
