Devlog #7: New levels, enemies, weapons and mechanics

Lonely Space · published 13 Jul 2026, 07:11 UTC

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

It's been quite a while since the last update. In the meantime, we've been working hard on new levels, mechanics, enemies, weapons, and gameplay improvements.

We also signed with Ultimate Games, a publisher, which will allow us to focus on game development, release the game faster, and deliver higher-quality work.

We aim to release the full game (not EA) in the first quarter of 2027. However, the exact date will be announced later, closer to the release date.

Meanwhile, by the release, we plan to:

- create at least 3 more levels (8 in total)

- replace the temporary art and voiceover

- add several difficulty levels and additional modifiers

- improve game mechanics and interface, and much more

Lonely Space is also participating in the Cyberpunk Festival, August 3-10, and we plan to release an updated demo for this event.

What We’ve Done

New mechanics and systems

  • New hacking system. New mini-game for hacking vending machines, doors, and boxes.

  • UV lamps now reveal fingerprints on password entry panels.

  • Energy bridge. When deactivated, all enemies and items fall.

  • Vending machines drop a random item when hacked.

  • Intelligent loot system. Some crates give the player the items needed at the moment.

  • Gas cylinders now detonate on impact if the impact force exceeds the threshold.

  • EMP grenades and the Tesla Gun now turn off energy bridges and walls.

  • A spark or another fire source can now ignite acid clouds.

Levels & Environment

  • The Technical Deck level has been assembled, including the main story and additional quests.

  • The Crew Deck level has been finished, including the main story and additional quests.
