Last time we revealed a brand-new gameplay trailer plus an updated demo, which ends on a glimpse of something new... and today, we want to take you a little deeper into that next zone: the Forest of Exai.
If you played the demo all the way through, you already caught a sneak peak of it. Now it's time to talk more about this biome #2.
The Forest of Exai is a sacred forest placed on the side of Mount Hedphelym. A long time ago, the forest was the final step of a long pilgrimage to reach the city of Drexciya, located at the top of the mountain. You can still see some paths left by the pilgrims.
In more recent times, during the AFX wars, the forest was repurposed as the last bastion of defense of the Capital. There are still some old, dormant military systems that may attempt to stop intruders, such as the Seeker. Tread carefully!
The forest contains one of the most important landmarks of Syro, the Sacred FLOW Tree, once the center of a very important ritual, the RESET, the meaning of which has been lost to time. The Forest of Exai remembers and waits...
