Arms of God on Steam Deck

The release of Arms of God is now only 2 weeks away. On one hand, I can’t wait for it to finally happen… but on the other, I still have soooo much work left to do. Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly!

Today I wanted to answer a few recurring questions about Arms of God performance on Steam Deck.

Even though the game is not 'officially' Steam Deck Verified yet, it has already been running very well on the device for a long time. Before starting my own studio, I spent many years working as a Technical Artist in other game studios, mostly focusing on game optimization, so there was no way I was going to half-ass it in my own project. I hope you’ll be happy with the results.

And of course - if for any reason something doesn’t work as it should, please ping me on Discord so I can fix it as quickly as possible.

Below are a few technical tips to get the best performance on Steam Deck:

Most optimal settings:

* Quality: Low

* Antialiasing Method: Low

With these settings, the game should run at a stable ~60 FPS most of the time. If the arena becomes extremely crowded with enemies, you may experience temporary drops to around 40 FPS.

There’s also an option to lower the Resolution Scale for players who want even smoother performance.

If you have any questions about Steam Deck or other handheld consoles, feel free to leave a comment below - I’ll be monitoring this post. I’m also available on Discord as always.
