Small update with fixes on PC that will mostly affect new players. The update for Mac and Linux will come in the following days.

Hotfixes for the Tutorials

  • Pressing buttons was locking tricks that had no variation. Now, pressing buttons will not affect the input when no variation is needed.

  • Teleporters should be hidden during the tutorials to provide a clear understanding of where the game wants you to go. This has been restored.

  • Some PS controllers were not identified as PS controllers, which made it confusing for new players to follow the tutorials. Identification should now account for more cases.

  • Increased the radius of the markers used to position and orient the player, making it easier to execute tricks while keeping good positioning near the edge.

  • Changed the trigger and bumper icons so they now display: R1, R2, L1, L2, RT, RB, LT, LB, making them more readable.

  • Pressing a bumper when none is needed now causes the triggers to appear as not validated, so the player understands something is wrong and needs to release the bumpers.

  • Added a few combos to the flips tutorial to make it more enjoyable.

  • Fixed an issue where resetting the short input boolean created an infinite loop when trying to get up after the scripted fail on the triple cork in the flips tutorial.

Rework of the Trick List and Trick Data

  • Unified TrickData wherever it is used. For instance, the trick list is now created from an in-game trick database. This shouldn’t impact gameplay but opens many possibilities for the future.

  • Unified the variation logic. Variations are now counted from the end of the trick, counting every kick spot in a specific trick.

So pressing B now corresponds to a kick at the end:

  • Full round

  • Double full round (not in game yet)

  • Triple full round (not in game yet)

Snapu (round kick followed by a twist) is now B > A:

  • Kick full (not in game yet)

  • Full snapu

  • Dub full snapu (not in game yet)

  • Trip full snapu (not in game yet)

Snapu double twist (round followed by 2 twists) is now B > A > A:

  • Kick dub full

  • Full snapu dub twist (not in game yet)

  • Dub full snapu dub twist (not in game yet)

Animations and Tricks

  • Dub full shuriken cutter (Y > Y)

  • Dub full hyper hook (Y)

  • Shurikane (Y > Y > Y)
