This will be the final MAJOR patch for the demo! While bug-fixes and minor changes are likely to continue up until the full release of Episode 1, this will be the final patch introducing bigger system changes.
We would like to thank everyone who has been playing the demo as your support means the world to us. We've had a LOT of feedback come in from all of our platforms and we are doing our best to go through each and every one. Feel free to continue enjoying the demo, as well as posting feedback and bug reports through our feedback channel on Discord!
Removed an unintended extra sound effect from WaterWorks.
Added a "Resolution" slider in the settings menu.
The "Window Mode" setting has been reset with this change, due to various crashes and other reported issues, so it will need to be changed again in your settings menu.
The "VSync" option is now disabled if on the "Borderless" window mode.
Added "Chinese" localization support for Subtitles and Hint UIs.
Temporarily disabled Hardware Raytracing support for AMD Radeon cards, due to an engine issue.

Various additional Settings UI changes:
Renamed "Narration Language" to "Language", and moved it to the top of the "General" tab.,
Moved "Camera Shake Scale" from "General" to "Immersion".,
The "Upscaler" setting now defaults to being disabled.
Users that were crashing due to the old default upscaler setting can reset their settings manually by removing the %localappdata%/Subliminal/Saved folder before launching the game.
Dev Note: All optimization tests conducted within the team were based on results WITHOUT using upscaling technology. We believe, as a team, that while upscaling technology is nice to have, it should by no means be required/defaulted to -- which this change represents.
Fixed the "Reflections High" and "Reflections Unreasonable" options not working after selecting "Reflections Medium".
Fixed various mesh, material, collisions, and clipping issues across all levels.
Fixed various issues related to keybind loading and saving -- this should now be fully working!
Fixed various settings setting the Preset value to "Custom" when they shouldn't.
Fixed the "Toggle Narration" keybind not properly restoring the correct volume when un-muting.
Fixed being unable to move backwards during certain actions, due to a regression in the prior patch.
Fixed an issue with various interactive items behaving inconsistently after repeated actions.
Crashing on launch or during gameplay for some players.
If you encounter this, please send in a crash report to our team.
Please also be sure to be as descriptive as possible in your report (When exactly the issue happened, specs, ways we can reach out to you, etc.).
Also, we do not currently support Integrated Graphics or MacOS.
Controller Support
Full controller support will be released with the full version of Episode 1.
The demo contains partial support, and we are aware of various issues with it that will be fixed when Episode 1 releases.
Ultrawide Support
Ultrawide users, we hear you! This is also something that is on our list of stuff to be worked on, and we're excited to share more once we have news for you all!
In the meantime, the Resolution slider in this patch should give a slightly better experience compared to before.
