First, I’d like to thank you all for your support for Skingdom since its reveal in January🥰
I’ve been working on Skingdom for more than one year and a half now and the game changed a lot, nonetheless there’s a lot of work remaining to finalize the game’s content and to reach the quality required for the game to be released.
The unexpected events of development and an evaluated production duration too ambitious have played against me and the initial release plan for Skingdom (this winter) will not be doable.
So, I decided to push back the release of Skingdom to next year, giving me the time to bring all the promised content to the game and ensure its quality before the release.
The initial budget for the production of Skingdom will not be enough to push back the release to next year, so I’m currently in the process of finding additional funding to go through this final effort for the project, I will of course get you up to date with this part of the project as soon as possible ☺️
Here are a few answers to questions you might have, if you have any questions feel free to ask them in the comments below I will gladly answer them!
Will there still be a beta?
Of course!
A first beta of the demo version (one game mode and limited content) was planned for this month, it will happen as planned but around November.
A full game beta is also still planned before the release of the game, I will keep you up to date of the project progression and so of the date of this beta as soon as possible.
When will the game be released?
The release is planned for 2026.
Depending on the results of my funding researches the delay will narrow down, but I hope to be able to release Skingdom before summer.
Will there be a demo?
Yes, once the demo beta is finished, a polished version of this beta will be available.
I’m also planning to release a bigger demo version (mainly with another game mode) before the official release of Skingdom.
Is skiing better than snowboarding?
Yes, but there will be snowboarders in Skingdom anyway to prevent triggering a worldwide political crisis.
