Hello Builders!
Please prepare a round of applause for the newly introduced Steam Workshop!
Today we’re finally ready to share with you the Steam Workshop Update We’ve mentioned a few times before! Thank you for your patience while we finished up a few things from our side!
From the game side you’ll notice a new option in the Main Menu that will allow you to see the items downloaded from the Steam Workshop.
There you should also have the option to send the items you’ve created directly into the Steam Workshop. To create your own item to the Steam Workshop open a tool that should be downloaded by default with the new update. To check if it’s installed properly first enter your library and change the visibility of tools.
Press the list that should say “Games” or “All” and make sure the Tools section is marked.
Then Navigate to the Builder Simulator - Workshop Exporter (or search it via the search bar) and make sure it’s properly installed.
Now you can press play on the Workshop exporter and the tool should guide you through the steps of creating your own item into the game. When the item is ready simply click “Prepare Item” then “Send Item” and Verify it on your Steam Workshop. After all that you’re ready to download the full item from the Steam Workshop (By default it’s unsubscribed so you need to subscribe it manually).
