📜IfSunSets Public Test Notice📜

Hello,

We are the IfSunSets development team

First of all, we sincerely apologize for the update taking longer than expected.

We are truly sorry.

From the moment we began developing the ocean content, we wanted to bring you more, and to bring it to you faster.

However, as development progressed, we found ourselves questioning whether it was truly the right choice to present its current state to you as it is.

Unfinished systems, an unstable gameplay environment, and bugs still present throughout,

and the fact that we have yet to find a clear answer to the question, “Why should we go out to sea?”

We concluded that releasing an update in this state was something we could not justify to ourselves.

We also felt that it would not be right for a development team that has received your time and money to deliver an update like this.

The test we are releasing this time is still an unstable version.

In addition, as development is ongoing, several important elements have been removed.

This test branch has been prepared to let you briefly explore the updated world where you can venture into the ocean,

and to give you an early look at what kind of content will be added in the future.

Additionally, since this build is being released in its current development state without thorough refinement,

its level of completion is low and it may contain numerous bugs.

Rather than providing a polished, finished experience, this is a test build intended to let you see our current direction and progress.

We kindly ask for your understanding.

Even so, there is only one reason we decided to release this build to you in the form of a test branch.

We have not given up on IfSunSets,

and we want to show you our commitment to continue improving and upgrading the game.

Though it may be incomplete and rough for now,

we wanted to share this process with you openly, without hiding it.

We have now decided to proceed with an update next month.

The IfSunSets ocean content update is scheduled for the fourth week of April.

To everyone who has waited with us until the end,

and continues to watch over us, we sincerely thank you.

We will not stop, and we will keep moving forward.

We are always sorry, and always grateful.

※ Important Notes Before Playing the Test Branch ※

1. Please do not play with or link your existing save files under any circumstances.

In the open test, please make sure to create a new character before playing.

If you must use an existing save file, please ensure that you back it up in advance.

Using save data from the test build in the main game may cause serious issues,

and in the worst case, your character could become corrupted.

2.This test build is still under development and may contain numerous bugs.

Some issues are already known, but they are expected to be addressed naturally during upcoming content additions and structural changes.

Therefore, no separate hotfixes for bug fixes will be carried out during this open test period.

Comprehensive fixes will be applied at the time of the official update, so please keep this in mind while playing.

🔔The official ocean content update is scheduled for the fourth week of April 2026.🔔

The development team is currently working on content not included in this test build, balance adjustments, and refining the overall flow of the game to make it more seamless.

As this update involves large-scale changes that affect the entire world,

we have carefully held back on hotfixes and updates until now.

However, after the ocean content update in the fourth week of April,

we promise to resume fast, proactive updates and continuous hotfixes as before.

We sincerely thank all of our players who continue to wait for us and support us.

We will do our very best until the end

to repay you with a better version of IfSunSets.

Thank you.
