Release Notes for "Striking Wine"

Striking Wine · published 23 Dec 2025, 13:00 UTC

Hello everyone,

After a long period of development, the full version of "Striking Wine" is now available as of December 23, 2025, at 9:00 PM (GMT+8).However, before considering a purchase, please read the following points, which are more important than any gameplay mechanic.

1. Please Try the Demo First

The Demo will always coexist with the full version. We strongly recommend downloading and trying the latest free Demo before making a decision. For the foreseeable future, the Demo will receive the same updates as the full version. You can experience everything the full version currently offers in the Demo.

2. About "Unfinished" and "A Sense of Ceremony"

The current version is far from perfect; she's not even complete. Yet, when we initially set the date for December 23, 2025, and later encountered a potential "bad ending" in development, we decided that since nothing unforeseen occurred, the date would not change.

Because of this, we have chosen not to send wishlist notification emails to avoid creating what one might call "disappointed purchasers." More than an impulsive purchase, we hope for a conscious recognition of the project. As a compromise, we have lowered the launch price (through a temporary 30% reduction and a separate launch discount of 15%). We've also opted to keep the Demo synchronized with the full version's updates. This makes a purchase feel more like early support and a vote of confidence, rather than payment for a finished product.

3. Random Updates

As a student, my schedule is both busy and unpredictable. This means update cycles are highly unstable: there might be frequent iterations during free time, but during busy periods (like exam season), there could be one or two months of inactivity. You can check the store announcements to see the current "busy status."

We won't make promises we can't keep. What we can promise is this: every update, whenever it arrives, will be the best gift we can offer to this project within our capabilities and time at that moment.

4. Current Version Content Scope

As a Roguelite game, the current version offers roughly 1-2 hours of non-repetitive core gameplay. After that, the game relies on randomized builds to provide replayability.

Once the core gameplay is polished, the full version will branch off from the Demo and begin receiving exclusive content. More content, deeper systems, and a more complete story will be gradually added in the future.

Finally

If, after understanding all of the above, you are still willing to support this imperfect beginning or hold expectations for her future, then your purchase would provide tremendous motivation. It's like choosing to load a save and start a New Game+ after a bad ending, in pursuit of that hidden true ending.

If you choose to continue with the free Demo, we are equally grateful for your attention. Each playthrough, in itself, adds meaning to this story. It gives us a reason to feel the project is worth continuing. This may not be a standard commercial tale. Perhaps what we seek is not more items in shopping carts, but the chance to slowly write the latter half of her story together with those who genuinely appreciate her.Regardless of how you choose to proceed, thank you for accompanying "Striking Wine" this far.
