
Due to changes to the save format in this patch, all settings have been reset. This is a one-time change in preparation for the launch of Episode 1, and we apologize for any inconvenience!
Added full un-bind support for the "Controls" menu. Pressing "Escape" while re-binding will un-bind the selected key.
Added the ability to have an "interactive" crosshair.
This option allows for the crosshair to only appear when hovering/performing an interaction, rather then the existing always/never options.
Using the jump key while crouched now causes the player to stand up.
Several additions and improvements to all levels, backported from their full game versions.
Major save system improvements -- Settings and Gameplay data are now separate save files.
Improved localization support.
Updated audio, subtitle, and upscaling integrations.
Added initial support for non-16:9 aspect ratios to account for ultrawide monitors.
Certain areas of the game may have visual issues. Please report these issues through the appropriate channels as well as what resolution/window mode settings you were using at the time.
A new setting in the Graphics tab has also been added to allow configuring whether to constrain to horizontal or vertical field of view.
Fixed several key binds not appearing as their shortened names, causing some visual issues.
Fixed interaction issues in The Basement related to the changes introduced in v1.2.1.
Fixed potential softlocks in The WaterWorks.
Fixed the zoom out sound effect unnecessarily playing during the intro transition to The Basement.
Fixed animation issues in the pause menu that caused softlocks.
Fixed several visual and animation issues with interactable items.
Fixed the "Sprint Hold / Toggle", "Crouch Hold / Toggle", and "Depth of Field" options not properly adjusting when changed in certain areas.
Fixed the "Language" setting not having any effect until the game was restarted.
Fixed cases where "Language" default detection could fail.
Fixed an issue where changing the "Crosshair" setting would cause it to appear while the game was paused, resulting in a double-crosshair.
Fixed "stick drift" that could occur with player movement while using a controller.
Crashing on launch or during gameplay for some players.
If you encounter this, please send in a crash report to our team.
Please also be sure to be as descriptive as possible in your report (When exactly the issue happened, specs, ways we can reach out to you, etc.).
Controller Support
Full controller support will be released with Episode 1.
The demo contains partial support, and we are aware of various issues with it that will be fixed when Episode 1 releases.
You may see improvements to this system in the meantime prior to the full version release. These will be noted in the changelog as needed.
