Will AI replace artists? Is AI-generated art truly creative? Can we blame artists who start using AI to survive? There are no right answers. Both sides make valid points. Both sides are in pain. That's the problem.
EULA is this situation turned into a game.
EULA stands for "End User License Agreement." That document no one reads before clicking [I Agree] when installing software.
The protagonist is an aspiring illustrator. They've built their skills, created a portfolio. Then AI appears. In seconds, it produces better artwork than they ever could. Now they face a choice.
Around them are people with different perspectives. Those who actively embrace AI, those who say it's not real art, those who accept it as reality, and those still searching for answers.
This game doesn't say "AI is bad" or "AI is good." There are 6 endings, and none of them is the right one. The choice belongs to the player.
Visual novels are a genre of choice. Read, think, choose.
"Accept or reject." No genre fits this question better. The player makes choices directly and experiences the consequences firsthand.
"When AI threatens everything you've built, who are you?"
I wanted to create an experience where you stand directly before this question.
This series documents the making of EULA. Why we created this story, what we struggled with, and what this game carries within it.
This game doesn't just use its story to explore this theme. The game itself is part of the question.
