IMPORTANT DEMO UPDATE
We’ve rolled out a new demo build version (0.14.x), which introduces over 3 months' worth of improvements (check our Discord for detailed patch notes). The demo will also stay available for some time after launch.
The save files, in-game progress, and achievements from the demo will carry over to the full game.
If you want to finish a settlement in the demo and run into issues in version 0.14.x, you can roll back to version 0.12.x by choosing a different branch on Steam.
The full game is compatible with the settlements built in the demo, but we highly encourage starting a fresh save file in the full version to avoid things breaking in unexpected places.
If you load your demo saves in the full game, you can enter the Sandbox mode with Shift+F9 -- it will allow you to finish building the settlement without pressure. However, upon entering the Sandbox mode, progress will not be tracked anymore for this particular save.
Once again, we encourage everyone to start a fresh save file in the full game to avoid any potential issues!
