Bonjour, and welcome to May!
As I said not too long ago, I'll be leaving at the end of this month for a week to go on holiday, so I really want to get episode 8 out before I go. I've had a word with Cheeky, and I've taken this week off from WTHI to focus on getting Episode 8 finished. Having worked on it a very small amount yesterday and ( so far ) an even smaller amount today, I'm very confident I can get it finished in time. I know that might sound weird, being working a little but being confident we'll get it done, but I've had a bit of a family weekend going on the last couple of days, and even though I've only worked a small amount, I still got a shot tonne done! So over the next week, when I have zero commitments anywhere else, I should be good.
I'm not going to go into some super long ramble like I normally do, so I'll give you some quick notes instead:
I have 3 more scenes to do art for. The one that I'm currently working on is the longest, and I'm about 65% done, and then the last 2 scenes aren't massive or super complex, so it shouldn't take ages to do those. I doubt I'll have ALL the art done this week, but so long as I get this scene I'm currently working on done and the 2nd to last one done, then we'll be good for a release this month.
I haven't started writing for the new mini game yet; my focus is 100% on episode 8 right now, so once the episode is out, I'll start writing for the new mini game then ( possibly in June ), or I might not rush into it. I've had some changes in my finances that have stabilised me a little, so I've no rush to get one out. So long as I get one out by November, I'm good – so plenty of time, but I'll probably finish episode 8 and then just dive right into episode 9. Kingcrab has been a massive help with his writing and is really freeing me up to do more work on the art.
This will more than likely be the final dev note before the release, although I do plan on releasing some spicy previews at some point this week, so keep an eye out for those. That being said, this'll probably be the last time you hear from me before the release is out, so I hope you're all having an amazing month, and I'll see you all soon.
