We are absolutely thrilled, and a bit chilled, by how many brave souls have answered the call since our demo arrived on Steam.
Thank you for putting on the heavy gear, checking your ropes, and taking your first steps into the dangerous, vertical unknown. You have felt the mountain’s cruel cold, but the true nightmare has only just begun.
Something is changing in the wind. Steam Next Fest is officially here, and the Ascenders Agency needs every single climber to work together to see what secrets are hidden above the clouds…
Steam Next Fest is officially here, and to celebrate, we are launching our first-ever Community Ascension Event! For the next two weeks, every successful ascent made by anyone in the community will feed into a massive, shared tracker.
The higher the community climbs together, the more exclusive rewards everyone unlocks!
(Numbers of each milestone will be revealed as the previous one gets unlocked!)
🏆 Tier 1 Unlocked - 4,000 Ascents
Reward: A stunning, high-resolution digital HD Wallpaper pack
🏆 Tier 2 Unlocked - 5,000 Ascents
Reward: An exclusive Discord Emoji Pack added to the server. (So far only a handful are available, a lot more would be added)
🏆 Tier 3 Unlocked - 8,000 Ascents
Reward: Reaching this tier locks in a game giveaway event that will take place right at the game's official Early Access launch. Free copies of the game will be up for grabs!
🏆 Tier 4 Unlocked - 12,000 Ascents
Reward: The ultimate objective. If the community pushes all the way to the top, a completely free character skin for the Botanist will be available from launch
Congratulations! All tiers have been unlocked! Emojis are already available on the discord, more are/will be added soon, other rewards will come in the later month and closer to the EA Launch.
It’s simple: Just play the game.
It does not matter if your expedition is a successful one or not, every ascent you make during this two-week window counts toward the global total. Even if a blizzard catches you off guard and your squad doesn't make it back to HQ, your effort still pushes the community tracker higher. Survival is a team effort.
Steam Next Fest is the perfect window to make your mark on the mountain. The ropes are set, the gear is prepped, and the rewards are waiting at the summit...but this event won't last forever.
Keep your stamina high, watch out for falling rocks, and let's conquer this mountain together!
