Patch Notes — March 28, 2026Over the last two weeks we focused on gameplay feel, performance, UI quality-of-life, and a major new visual effects push.✨ New / Improved Visual Effects
- Added **fluid smoke + explosion VFX** to entities for more dynamic combat readability.
- Expanded the fluid/smoke feature set with new gameplay helpers and improved visuals.
- Improved fluid emitters, shader behavior, and smoke trails.
- Added player interaction with fluid simulation (player push influence).🎮 Gameplay & Systems
- Added **per-player portal HUD/state handling** and improved raid-related portal logic.
- Centralized stat recalculation and added scroll bonuses.
- Added visibility enablers and visibility logic improvements.
- Improved health bar updates when max health changes.
- Added account reset feature + UI flow.⚡ Performance & Responsiveness
- Added async database loading and non-blocking player initialization.
- Centralized movement handling and smoothed movement to reduce hitches.
- Throttled expensive updates and optimized UI/chain logic.
- Reduced redundant movement calls and corrected velocity reset behavior. 🧭 UI / UX Improvements
- Split **Display settings into Video vs Gameplay** categories.
- Split controls into **Keyboard/Mouse vs Controller** tabs.
- Added loading splash and resource UID handling improvements.🛠️ Fixes
- Fixed double-death edge cases.
- Fixed portal z-sort issues.
- Fixed party ghost behavior.
