Hey Everyone!
We’re seeing out the first month of the year with a new update for DUCKSIDE, which includes the implementation of the first iteration of one of our roadmap goals; weapon durability, alongside a bunch of balancing tweaks, QOL improvements and general optimization.
Check out the full update notes below!
The “Durability” feature is introduced for melee weapons. We will continue to extend this feature and fine-tune the ‘durability’ levels, while also adding a repair option in the near future.
Players can now throw small and large explosive charges onto walls from a distance, similar to the satchel charge mechanic in other games. This replaces the previous method of directly placing C4 on walls, adding a new layer of strategy and skill to breaching tactics.
Previously, the submarine had only one exit, making it easy to camp. A second exit has been introduced to improve balance and reduce camping.
NPCs now attempt to take cover behind walls, crates, and other objects instead of standing still or running unpredictably.
A new sensitivity setting has been added specifically for scoped weapons. Players can now fine-tune their mouse sensitivity separately for collimator sights and 4x scopes, allowing for more precise aiming customization.
Administrators and Moderators can now issue Steam game bans directly from the in-game admin panel.
Implemented some visual fixes and general optimization
