Hey Seekers!

Last time we talked about the Scanning feature (or Scan system) and today we are back with a deep dive into one of the many Enemy types, their origin and some hints at their weaknesses.

Name: WARPmaul (The Enforcer)

Biome of Origin: Tharsis Desert

Enemy Type: WARPed being

Combat style:

A rare elite WARP form that fights with cunning and brutality.

  • The attack patterns rely on denial of space and a mix of brutal melee attacks with powerful bursts of WARP projectiles hurling towards you.

  • These are reminiscent of powerful Quoth fighters akin to a general or a military figure in the corrupted world of CALX.

Weak spot:

WARP masses do become visible during certain attacks. You will need to exploit these crucial moments to destroy them and stun the WARPmaul.

Artistic inspiration:

(Concept Art)

The WARP enemies generally draw inspiration from decomposing marine fauna. They have been conceived as an upgraded version of the “Grunt” enemy; they share the same artistic reference, which is octopus with certain mollusk traits.
