💡 Important Notes

  • With the upcoming release of Episode One on March 31st, 2026, major updates to the demo will be concluding with the release of v1.5.0 coinciding with the release day.

  • We cannot begin to thank all of you for your support over the last few months, in addition to all the feedback and reactions we've received on the Demo and with our recent trailer. We hope you enjoy the full episode release, just as much as we have had pouring our hearts and passion into it!

🛠️ Changes

  • Updated the engine from 5.7.3 to 5.7.4 for some additional bug fixes.

  • Updated the Shader Compiler backend for improved accuracy and to resolve some crashes.

  • Updated FSR and XeSS integrations for stability improvements and future feature preparations.

  • Reduced the requirements for certain events in the Waterworks.

  • Reverted the camera look and movement changes that were made in v1.4.0.

  • An additional collectable can now be found in the Basement.

    • In total, three of the six collectables in the full episode can be found in the Demo.

  • Sprinting while being crouched no longer attempts to automatically un-crouch the player.

  • Moved the "Subtitles" setting from the "Immersion" tab to the "General" tab.

  • Updated narration for certain sequences.

  • Updated translations for several languages.

    • The "Language" setting has been reset as a result of some of these changes.

  • Reverted the "Unreasonable" setting changes made in v1.4.0, for Lumen and Reflection quality, due to low performance.

  • Misc. packaging and performance improvements.

🔧 Fixes

  • Fixed a few issues with animated sequences in Waterworks.

  • Fixed an issue where the player view could become permanently rotated after certain sequences.

  • Fixed an issue where certain sequence objects could clip out of bounds when initially played during Childhood Memories.

  • Fixed certain collectables still having an interaction outline when they shouldn't.

    • An option for this will be added in an update in the near future.

  • Fixed being unintentionally able to add magnets to the mini fridge in the Basement while the door was open.

  • Fixed various texts not being localized correctly.

  • Fixed an issue where the player camera could jolt upwards when transitioning into the Basement level.

  • Fixed an issue causing the "Language" and "Subtitles" settings to not be reflected if a voice line was already being played.

  • Fixed a few minor collision trigger issues in the Basement.

⚠️ Known Issues

  • Crashing on launch or during gameplay for some players.

    • If you encounter this, please send in a crash report to our team.

    • Please also be sure to be as descriptive as possible in your report (When exactly the issue happened, specs, ways we can reach out to you, etc.).
