I have decided to partner with 2 Left Thumbs to publish HFI and I couldn't be happier. Here's all the details:
2 Left Thumbs is an indie friendly publisher ran by Graeme, a Youtuber turned publisher!
Graeme has seen several titles to their conclusion; check out his Steam publisher page here: https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/2leftthumbs
He's a big fan of the newgrounds/kongregate/flash games of old, which is a great fit for HFI having it's roots and inspirations from so many browser games!
The bottom line is: Having a publisher takes a significant load off of me and allows me to focus more on making HFI. This helps me focus on making HFI as great as it can be and leaving the non-dev tasks to the professionals. Not only does it take those tasks off my plate, but he is also going to do a better job than if it was me doing everything on my own.
Graeme has already been helping me in the background for several months, including helping me with the hunt for an artist (we are looking at applications now!) and recording a let's play video for the last Steam festival! He's also going to help develop future trailers for the game. As a Youtuber, he can put together wayyy better videos than I ever could. :D
I retain full control of HFI and how it is developed. That stays with me!
The discord community will continue to be managed by myself and Khalida.
Ko-fi isn't changing; still the same subscription and benefits. (If there's anything else you'd like to see from Ko-fi, let me know!)
I will still add silly secrets to the game because I can't help myself.
It's soooo rare that an idle game lands a publisher, and I hope more idle games get these kind of opportunities in the future too. It wouldn't have been possible without this community; thank you!
