Field of Glory: Kingdoms - Burghers and Bombards pushes the timeline into the late Middle Ages and the dawn of the Renaissance, introducing new ways to shape your realm through warfare, economy, and political power.

Two New Campaigns

  • 1223–1470 Late Campaign: take command during the Mongol expansion and reshape the fate of Eurasia.

  • 1054–1492 Mega Campaign: experience over four centuries of history, from the High Middle Ages to the rise of early modern powers.

Advanced Economy System

A new system transforms the late game, introducing:

  • Inflation and building upkeep

  • The rise of the Burgher class

  • New decisions that challenge the balance between economic growth and political stability

Expanded Gameplay and Content

  • 58 new buildings, including guilds and gunpowder-related structures

  • New historical systems and events, such as the Great Plague and major trade developments

  • Dedicated content for nations like Portugal, focusing on maritime exploration

  • New late-game military progression with the introduction of gunpowder-era units

To celebrate the release of the DLC, a completely free Patch is now available to everyone!

What’s Included:

Regions and Buildings

  • New buildings added : Sulfur Mining, Corpse Burners, Mass Grave, Smokehouse (fish), Surface Gold Mining, Surface Silver Mining, Emporium (Brass). 

  • More than 20 buildings can now convert from one type to another depending on culture.

  • Disassembling is back to 3 turns, still sequential rather than parallel.

  • Fixed the population growth formula.

  • Up to 12 natural Trade Goods can now exist in a single region (was 4).

Warfare

  • Revolts in regions whose legitimate owner has negative Authority now raise independent units instead of that owner's units.

  • Reduced the weight of conquered regions in the authority-over-demesne penalty.

Battles

  • Fixed buggy unit abilities.

  • Revised some unit combat values.

  • Western Heavy Cavalry suffers a penalty in hot regions.

Diplomacy

  • It is still possible to request a vassal's capital region.

  • In Transactions, vassals can now only exchange regions with their liege.

  • In Transactions, regions can no longer be traded to nations that are too distant.

UI & QOL

  • Added a new map overlay replacing the legacy one: Health and Epidemics.

  • Fixed an issue where displayed required structures for a given structure could be erroneous.

  • Fixed several issues with Hanging Flags alerts.


Regional Decisions

  • A regional decision sell action now always provides at least 10 gold.

Warfare Update

  • Conquest Mode Diplomatic Frenzy, War Weariness, and Nobility Sedition halved

  • Removed penalties for:

    • Having the ruler in the field

    • Conquered regions

    • Losing regions

    • Exceeding Demesne limits
