A new week is about to start, so it’s time for a new dev update! The Crystals Of Irm demo is running quite smoothly, but a couple of minor issues have cropped up that need to be fixed today. Fingers crossed, these will be resolved today or tomorrow at the latest.
To prepare you a little more for the demo, I want to show you the different user interfaces in the game. Above all, I want to show you what information the interface has in store for you in the different game states.
The main UI, which you will see most of the time, looks like this.
On the right side, you can see your three heroes. Below the portrait, you will find information about their current hit points, and next to that are the three stats STR, DEX, and INT. In the box at the bottom right, you will find your currently available gold and your rations, which you need to rest and flee from battles. Next to that, you will also find your available USE and SEARCH points. These resources are used, for example, to open paths or to perform interactions in points of interest on the overworld.
The battle UI provides a little more information and looks like this.
As in the main interface, you will see your three heroes and their hit points on the right side. There is also another bar that indicates the hero's ATK value. The ATK value represents the steps you have to take before the hero throws their weapon token onto the field. Next to the portrait, you will see the hero's equipped skill and a smaller bar for the action points required to trigger the skill token. You get one action point for each filled ATK bar. When this action point bar is full, the hero throws their skill token onto the field.
On the left side of the battle UI, you will find the enemy group. Each enemy has a hit point bar and a bar below it that shows when the next attack will be triggered. At the bottom, you will find a small log that gives you information about the damage you have suffered or dealt.
Now you have a brief overview of what the different user interfaces mean and what information they provide.
If you want to support the development and me, feel free to check out Ko-Fi Of Irm. Every Thursday, there are behind-the-scenes updates with information on the development status, posts about the lore in the game, and discounts in the Shop Of Irm, where you can purchase stickers!
I wish you a great week!
Take care
