Demo Update Announcement

Death Ring: Second Impact · published 10 Jul 2025, 07:02 UTC

Since the release of our Demo in February, we've received an overwhelming amount of feedback. To review and implement these suggestions, we have invested far more time and effort than expected, but we truly believe it was all worth it.

Here are some of the major changes we've made during this time:

  1. Complete overhaul of the stat system: We've restructured the core attribute types into four categories: Combat, Firepower, Mechanics, and Particle. This change will make them more intuitive and easier to understand. Armor and damage types have also been reworked, allowing armor to have unified structures while supporting a variety of special effects.

  2. Loadout system adjustments: We’ve merged the left hand and right hand weapon slots into a single slot. Don’t worry, all your favorite weapon combinations are still available, with new skill sets!

  3. New module panel system: Introducing a brand new resource: Almond Water! Use it to upgrade your module panel and select unique passive traits.

  4. Audio system rework: From music to SFX, the entire audio experience has been revamped. Remember to put your headphone on!

  5. UI visual updates: The UI has been refined and will continue to be iterated on throughout Early Access.

  6. Twin Tracks, A new introductory chapter: A new tutorial to help players quickly grasp the core gameplay mechanics.

  7. Art upgrades: Including visual improvements for Rust City environments, existing loadouts, and mechs.

  8. Logistics system: This new system allows you to unlock and manage loadouts and modules within the game.

A large portion of these improvements will be included as a free update to the Demo. Welcome to try them out in advance! The full new systems, HEAT mode, new loadouts/modules and Chapter 2: Belhaven will officially launch in the Early Access version on July 11.

Important: For players who already own the Demo:

The Demo will be updated alongside the Early Access release on July 11. At that time, your saved stage completion progress and out-of-combat data will be preserved, but any ongoing battle progress will not be retained.

When you purchase the Early Access version, your saved stage progress and out-of-combat data from the Demo will automatically carry over.

For example, if you’ve completed Rust City in the Demo, you’ll continue from that point in the Early Access version, you can head straight into Belhaven or re-challenge Rust City with or without Heat Mode.

However, if your save is still mid-battle in Rust City and not yet completed, that mission will be reset upon updating the Demo or purchasing Early Access, and you’ll need to replay it from the start.
