Following the latest update, a new hotfix is now available. This update primarily focuses on performance and optimization, which have been a major priority for the team over the past days.

A significant amount of work went into improving overall stability, reducing frame rate spikes, and refining graphics-related systems.

You should notice clear improvements to performance, frame consistency, and overall smoothness, especially during exploration and in demanding scenarios.

Upscaling, Anti-Aliasing & Graphics Settings

A significant amount of work has been done on upscalers, anti-aliasing, and graphics settings to improve overall performance, stability, and visual consistency.

  • Reworked the entire graphics settings pipeline.

  • FSR frame generation can now be enabled without using an upscaler.

  • DLAA has been moved to the Anti-Aliasing options.

  • Updated Anti-Aliasing and Upscaler configurations, including DLSS, for better visual fidelity and performance scaling.

  • Updated graphics settings menus to properly reflect the new upscaler and anti-aliasing configurations.

  • Fixed multiple issues and inconsistencies related to graphics settings.

Performance & Optimization

  • Foliage Optimization: Implemented new processing limits for vegetation to significantly reduce frame rate spikes while exploring the world. Foliage generation has also been optimized overall.

  • General Performance: Enabled several engine-level optimizations (GPU skin cache, shader compilation improvements, and better thread management) to improve overall frame rates and stability.

  • UI Optimization: Improved Slate/UI performance to reduce overhead and improve responsiveness.

Graphics & Visuals

  • Visual Artifacts: Fixed a frame synchronization issue that was causing rendering artifacts and screen tearing.

Quests & Gameplay

  • Quest Tracker Upgrade: Refactored the quest tracking system for better reliability. Tracker objectives are now more descriptive, and issues related to skip conditions have been resolved.

Localization & Text

  • Corrected and improved multiple translations across the game, with a focus on menus and interface-related text.

What’s Next

With all the recent improvements to performance and graphics systems, this is a great time to experiment with different upscalers and graphics settings to find what fits your setup best.

If you need help, want advice, or just want to share your feedback, don’t hesitate to do it here on Discord. You have many channels available for that, and the team and the community are always happy to help and discuss setups.

And this is just the beginning. In the next updates, the main questline will continue, expanding on the new tutorial and pushing the story forward.
