Hello everyone,

Since releasing Demo 2, we’ve been truly grateful for the incredible interest in PengPong—your feedback, messages, and wishlists have been making our days brighter every single day. We hope PengPong can bring a little joy to your everyday life as well.

This update is a special one, alongside our usual improvements.

Removed 'Pull' Controls & Added Auto-Recall

Yes, that’s correct. Across all of our feedback channels, the most frequent request we received was: “I wish the pullback action could be automated.” However, we’ve considered the pullback mechanic to be one of the core elements that makes PengPong fun to play, so we were cautious about removing it. Instead, we focused on the underlying player sentiment—“there are too many inputs and I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do”—and implemented a range of quality-of-life improvements to address that.

After that, the PengPong team tested a version internally with the pullback action removed—and we found it was a better experience than we expected. We also saw meaningful improvements through our focus group tests in a private channel. Even now, we’re not completely sure whether it’s the right time to make this change public. But in the end, the game is played by you—our players—so we believe the most important thing is to release it as a limited-time trial and see whether it actually improves immersion and enjoyment.

That means the pullback control can always return at any time. Please feel free to share your thoughts and feedback!

  • The [Pull] action (previously controlled with the right mouse button) has been removed. Weapons will now automatically return to your character.

We’ve also removed items that affected Pull and movement speed while pull.

Added in this patch:

  • Added new options to support windowed mode and multiple resolutions.

  • Updated the main menu so that the logo and localization are applied correctly for each language.

Fixes in this patch:

  • Slightly reduced the difficulty of Waves 10–15 in Stage 1 (Level 1 & Level 2).

  • Fixed an issue where items would be incorrectly displayed as Free in the Devil’s Shop after obtaining a certain item.

  • Fixed an issue where multiple weapons could spawn under certain conditions.

  • Fixed an issue where the game could freeze/stop when reviving while Max HP was 0.

  • Resolved various other minor issues.

We’ll continue to patch and update the game based on your feedback and suggestions. Please feel free to drop by our Discord anytime and share your thoughts!

Thank you,

PengPong Project Director, Jongchang.
