Hi, friends!

A new hotfix is here. This time we tweaked several important systems (and a couple of things that were a bit too noticeable — in the most literal sense), and also tackled bugs in quest logic, achievements, and the UI.

Patch Notes:

  • (Incredibly important!) During interrogations, a note was glowing bright green. We wanted it to be a piece of paper the player can’t read — but we didn’t want it to outshine the entire interrogation room. So we removed it.

  • (Important!) As originally intended, you can no longer place the same Decree multiple times within the same day.

  • (Important!) When analyzing an item in the Analyzer, the game would mistakenly show its description before analysis — even though that description changes after analysis. Fixed.

  • (Important!) The Day 8 plague research storyline could reset on its own — fixed.

  • Returned tobacco to the traders.

  • You can view descriptions of already analyzed items in the “Artifacts” menu.

  • Dialogue lines should no longer occasionally merge together. (This was caused by a typographic ellipsis we diligently used instead of three dots. There’s probably a moral in there somewhere.)

  • When playing with a controller, the cursor in the Thought Map now works properly.

  • Adjusted the requirements for the bull-related achievement, “Never Sits on His Hands”, and “Taboo.”

  • Fixed prices when trading with Grief.

  • Added a highlight to Katerina’s morphine box — the one we mentioned in the previous hotfix.

  • Fixed how descriptions for some characters display in the “People” window.

  • Fixed Anna Angel on Day 12 — you couldn’t talk to her.

  • Made passerby dialogues one-time only. Farewell, ankle guy!

  • Fixed a bunch of quest-logic bugs:
    — “Mind Palaces” about mirrors on Day 10;
    — proper door closing when restarting Emilia’s storyline on Day 7 (an open door could break progression — fear doors);
    — if you don’t finish Katerina’s operation, it now resets correctly;
    — replaced the dialogue with the mortus and the soldier in Kira’s Day 10 storyline with the correct one;
    — removed the Haruspex funeral dialogue that could stick around even after the funeral;
    — the Lyuricheva Street quest on Day 7 no longer resets automatically along with Karminsky’s trial.

  • And, as usual: typos and minor text tweaks.

If after the update you still run into bugs or odd behavior, please report them in the appropriate Steam Community thread or in the relevant Discord channel/topic.

Email reports are also extremely helpful: write to us at

    Open the save profile folder — there are three of them: Default (slot 1), 1 (slot 2), and 2 (slot 3).

This helps us find the issue faster and fix it sooner!

Also: from now on, at the end of each bugfix we’ll leave you a small gift — a new piece of art or a portrait from the game. Consider it a little thank-you for your patience!

Changing the props mid-performance,
Ice-Pick Lodge

Community25 Jun 2026Pain, Difficulty, Shabnak, and Other Topics: A Pathologic 3 UpdateHello everyone! This is Alexander Souslov, producer at Ice-Pick Lodge and game designer of Pathologic 3. The studio has been quiet for a while. We needed a moment to catch our breath. The team had no New Year holidays, and frankly, no vacations at all while working on the game's updates. But we weren't silent because we were lounging on a beach, eating watermelons and baursaks (if you've never…In-game event17 Mar 2026Update #6Hi, friends! Update #6 is out. This time we tuned several noticeable things at once: improved a bunch of Mind Palaces , made the interface more flexible (all the way up to toggling the HUD with a single button), added more menu sounds — and yes, we updated the door sound when leaving the Polyhedron ! On top of that, there’s a batch of logic, visual, and performance fixes, including improvements…In-game event2 Mar 2026Update #5Hi, friends! Update #5 is here. We continue to methodically knock the weirdness out of the game: broken decrees and busted quests, doors that shouldn’t be open, districts you suddenly can’t enter, and other adventures in system logic. And we’ve finally admitted the obvious: there’s nowhere to put the pistol and the Prototype, so they now honestly sit in their proper slots. Changes: · Glued the…
