Updates

Highlights

  ● Dark Ratatan Invasion!

    ○ Starting in Episode 2 (added in this update), Dark Ratatan will appear during your adventure.

    ○ Dark Ratatan will appear during Intervals, triggering various events. Some of them might even help the player.

    ○ As you progress through events, Dark Ratatan will begin appearing as bosses.

      ■ In this update, you can battle the following 4:

        ● Reek N. Roll (Skunk)

        ● Bork The Biter (Dog)

        ● Midnight Night (Bat)

        ● Funky Fang (Boar)

      ■ The remaining Dark Ratatan will become battleable in future updates.

    ○ By progressing through battles and events and collecting Key Items, you can reach the Episode 2 Clear Demo.

      ■ Key Items you obtain are not shown in your Inventory—check them at the Bonboya Gate in Rataport.

      ■ Episode progress is represented by items being slotted into the upper part of the Bonboya Gate.

  ● Unlock Episode 2

    ○ From a save file that has cleared World 5, raise your Oath Level to 1 or higher to proceed to Episode 2.

    ○ In Episode 2, the story progresses around the Dark Ratatan, and scenarios advance by meeting specific conditions.

    ○ Your previous first playthrough is treated as Episode 1.

  ● “Duo” Ratakaruta

    ○ By raising the Elemental Force of 2 or more elements to Lv2 or higher, Duo Ratakaruta become obtainable.

      ■ Once they become obtainable, they will appear when selecting Ratakaruta.

      ■ There are 12 Duo Ratakaruta total—2 for each Ratakaruta element (Fire, Water, etc.).

    ○ You can equip only 1 Duo Ratakaruta.

      ■ After you equip a Duo Ratakaruta, Duo Ratakaruta will stop appearing.

Which Duo Ratakaruta you choose to obtain becomes a major part of the adventure.

  ● “Goddess’ Anything Gachat”

    ○ A new facility has been added to Rataport!

      ■ This facility is placed to the left of Craft in Rataport.

    ○ At Goddess’ Anything Gachat, you can offer unwanted weapons, accessories, materials, etc. to exchange them for other items.

    ○ There are also limited items obtainable only here, but it is designed as “a fun way to process leftovers.”

    ○ Please be careful not to get carried away and offer items you still need!

  ● Added “Mythic” Rarity

    ○ Mythic has been added as the highest rarity for weapons, etc.

    ○ Mythic weapons have even stronger parameters than Legendary weapons, include Decorune, and should make your adventure even more powerful.

    ○ Mythic weapons can be obtained at a low rate by winning battles against Dark Ratatan.

    ○ In this update, only Mythic weapon leveling is available; Limit Break cannot be performed.

      ■ The Limit Break feature is planned to be unlocked in a future update.

  ● Legendary Accessories

    ○ Added Legendary accessories with random Decorune effects.

    ○ Try playing Episode 2 repeatedly and get yourself the perfect Legendary accessory.

  ● Multiplayer Improvements

    ○ When selecting Random Match, you can now choose a specific room to enter.

    ○ Added a Refresh button to the room list.

Gameplay

Scenario

  ● With the addition of Episode 2, an Episode selection feature has been added.

    ○ After clearing Episode 1, a UI for switching will appear above the Bonboya Gate in Rataport.

  ● Added many events with the 8 Dark Ratatan.

    ○ What kind of characters are they—and what is their purpose? Look forward to encountering them.

  ● After clearing Episode 2, added an ending for when you clear Episode 2.

  ● While a demo is playing, forced movement will no longer occur even if the time limit for a phase is exceeded.

    ○ In Multiplayer, waiting beyond the time limit may occur depending on each player’s demo progress.

Stage Gimmicks

  ● While progressing through a World, the following events can now occur:

    ○ Target Timer

      ■ An event where, as the battle starts, a cursor appears on a specific enemy and a time limit is displayed on-screen.

By defeating the cursor-targeted enemy within the time limit, you can wipe out the remaining enemies and obtain the event reward.

If you fail to defeat the target within the time limit, the battle continues as normal, but you can no longer obtain the event reward.

    ○ Boss Shortening

      ■ After this event occurs, the next boss you fight will have its HP reduced by a certain percentage.

      ■ Bosses here include Kashira (mid-bosses) and boss monsters (the monster fought at the end of each World, including Dark Ratatan).

    ○ Battle Skip

      ■ An event where, upon entering a battle area, all enemies in that battle are already defeated.

You can immediately obtain the phase reward.

    ○ Altar Hall

      ■ An event where many different Altars are installed.

You can receive blessings from various Altars, but the cost to use Altar functions still applies—use them wisely.

  ● Some events will only occur from Episode 2 onward.

Balance Adjustments

  ● Added one additional Interval phase from World 2 onward.

  ● After resuming from a Suspend Save, boss defeat SFX may play.

  ● “Son Jammer” clones may move through doors.

  ● If you open the Info screen at certain timings, it may become unclosable.

  ● When defeating the last enemy with Ratakaruta “Big Booms”, the battle may not end.

  ● Altar text may be cut off.

  ● Ratatability / Decorune effects may not apply to Shock caused by Chain Lightning.

  ● If you change keys in key config and they overlap with a non-existent key, controls may stop working.
