Hey all! it's been a little over a month since the last update for HARBINGER - Legacy Edition,
And the reason is because the next update I'm planning on doing is a pretty big one.
I've been pretty silent, and I apologize for the lack of real progress reports regarding the game.
Buutt...I plan on rectifying that here and now. Within the next week or so, I plan on releasing the next update for HARBINGER, so here's my plans for this update : 1.
CENTRALIZED LAUNCHER. I've received numerous complaints about the impractical and downright clunky usage of the Steam launch options to start different game modes.
And y'know what? I completely agree. So I've started working on building a fully centralized launcher for the game.
Taking what I've learned from building the Settings application for the game, this new launcher will completely remove Steam launch options (Unless it's absolutely necessary)
It will also give the game a bunch more personality, even better? It will open the door for me to add more complex features to Harbinger later down the road! 2.
INFESTATION Remember that little old map inside of Instant Action that pretty much quantifies as its own mode?
WELL. Now it is!
Taking advantage of the new launcher, Infestation is now going to be an entirely new mode within Harbinger, getting 3 new maps, and a character selector, each character coming with their own specific loadouts, musical theme, and secret items. And that's not all! I have much more in the works for this new update.
As I said, my plan is within 1 to 2 weeks for launch. If ANYTHING changes, I'll say something and give a new plan. I'm so excited to share and put out what I'm working on, this will bring HARBINGER - Legacy Edition up by five notches, minimum.
