March Dev Update

Hey all! Time for the March update!

First things first, we got the playtests rolling so yay! Been a bit scary to open up the project but so far everyone has been insanely helpful so wanted to give a big big thank you again for spending the time not only playing the game but also giving so many cool tips!

I've been working on adding them to the game ever since which is how we got now:

  • Multi key mode --> you can now opt to play the game with 4 different keys to give a little extra challenge to your runs

  • Mouse hit compatibility

  • Spiral notes where you need to rotate the targets around to clear them

  • Combo animations

  • A full tutorial revamp so you are thrown into the gameplay from the beginning instead of just having to read my boring instructions

  • A bunch of extra sound effects across the game let that be whooshes, clicks or counters

  • Opt-in leaderboards so you can play either with your Steam public display name or anonymously for the first place on each level!

  • Some new in game news board

  • A bunch of UI improvements for controller compatibility

  • Calibration overhaul to make it easier to finetune your setup as well as to compensate for video drift

In addition to all of the above I've ended up giving in my application to Blue Ocean Games's Rising Tide #3 competition! If you like the project it would mean a lot to me if you could cast a vote! For more please check out https://blueoceangames.com/challenge

As always thanks for checking out what's happening here and I hope to see you around!

Take care~
