EA1.2.40 The wordless tutorials now explain game mechanics

Realizing from several reviews that players get frustrated if they don't get explanations right from the start, I added deeper, beginner-friendly tutorials around the first node.

Mechanics of the Fracture I & II now explain the game mechanics without using any quantum theory.

Designing a good learning curve is extremely hard, especially when players come in with wildly different backgrounds. Some arrive with no math skills at all but hope to learn quantum computing -> these new tutorials are meant to help them progress much faster. Others complain that the early puzzles don’t teach quantum theory and assume the whole game will stay as easy as the first hour.

My hope is that the new texts support both groups: beginners who need a gentle start, and advanced players who need to know what they are getting into and where to find a quicker path into the deeper, more demanding content.

We passed 10k playersDear Seekers, I want this to be much more than an educational game... a platform to start what I like to call "quantum eSports": weekly tournaments, big competitions, events with sponsors and prizes. I think this is the best way to get people excited about coming up with cool quantum algorithms. QHW is here, yes it's not as good as it will be in the future, but what we are really slacking on is…Game update14 May 2026EA1.2.57 New text lines were created for every | symbol fixWe had a terrible bug in which all texts were spilling out thanks to a new steamdeck regex we introduced in the large patch to autodetect and change certain texts depending on if the player is using a deck or not -now fixed.
