What an incredible first week.
When we launched Snow Resort Simulator on April 8th, we honestly didn't know what to expect. Seeing 1,400 of you jump in and start building your own resorts has been an amazing experience for our small team.
But launching was just the beginning. Your feedback started pouring in from day one, and we took it seriously. Over the past week, we shipped three updates tackling everything from game-breaking freezes to camera motion issues, worker AI reliability, the entire online reservation system, hotel room balancing, and dozens of smaller fixes you reported.
Some of these issues never surfaced during our weeks of internal testing. With so many interconnected mechanics, it took real players with real playstyles to uncover them. When we realized the online reservation system wasn't working the way it should, we didn't just patch it. We redesigned it from scratch, adding partner selection with meaningful traits, bus transportation for reserved guests, and overbooking penalties that make hotel management feel more strategic.
We also heard you loud and clear on balancing. Snowmobile fuel drains slower now, hotel room earnings have been significantly rebalanced, wood consumption is down, bar workers are faster, and upper hotel rooms now require gradual progression instead of starting at level 3. Here is a quick summary of what changed across all three updates:
Reworked Systems: A completely reworked online reservation system with partner selection, buses, and check-in scheduling.
Hotel Additions: 7 hotel rooms re-enabled after launch issues, overbooking penalties introduced, and room earnings rebalanced.
New Staff: A new Indoor Housekeeper staff role added.
Visuals & Performance: Smoother camera movement, better worker AI, improved LOD and lighting, plus performance improvements across the board.
Bug Fixes: Fixed freezes, door stuck issues, ticket selling errors, slot machine bugs, store achievement tracking, and many more.
