The Grand Opening: Major Hotel Update

Our biggest update yet: guests now review their experience, a full laundry system arrives, room customization expands, and much more.

⭐ Review System (New)

Guests now rate your resort, and your star rating is calculated from the last 50 reviews. You can view all submitted reviews in the "Reviews" tab.

Things that lower your rating:

• Staff mistakes and long queue times

• Running out of firewood in an occupied room

• Undelivered room service or breakfast orders

• Out-of-stock items in the store

• Dirty tables — a much bigger hit if the guest can't sit at all

• Icicles and snow piles around the resort

• Uncollected trash on benches

• Poor track conditions on the ski slope

• Room level below guest expectations (e.g. "There was no minibar." / "There was no jacuzzi.")

• Incomplete area development

Things that raise it:

• Clean, well-maintained slopes and a smooth guest experience

• Completing a ski run without hitting a single snow pile

• Fully completed area upgrades

• Having enough rooms opened in your hotel

• Regularly clearing ice buildup from rooftops

• Regularly clearing trash from benches and tables

Your rating starts at zero and climbs as you build your reputation. As an area's star rating rises, so does the money it earns you — and it drops as your rating falls.

🏨 Hotel & Rooms

• 7 new hotel rooms added across two floors, fully furnished with updated objects.

• Rooms can now be upgraded up to Level 5, with full customization unlocked at the highest tier.

• Animated curtains added to hotel rooms. They open and close automatically as guests come and go.

• Tip box moved outside the room, so you can collect tips without entering.

• Room customization added. Personalize your rooms with a full color palette across furniture, walls (interior & exterior), and decor. Customize them individually or all at once.

• Rooms must reach Level 5 before customization unlocks.

🧺 Laundry System (New)

• Laundry Room added. Stop by before you start cleaning rooms to stock your basket with the supplies you'll need.

• Sheets, bathrobes, and towels added.

• Shelves for clean supplies — towels, bathrobes, sheets, Minibar Packs, Jacuzzi Packs, and Shower Sets, all clickable in Laundry Mode with live stock counts.

• Housekeeper carts now appear in front of the room currently being cleaned.

• New Laundry Mode UI with repositioned order display and clearer stock indicators.

👨‍🍳 Staff & Workers

• Receptionist added.

• Workers can now get sick. Only one worker can be sick at a time — while they're out, you'll need to handle their duties yourself.

• Workers can now make mistakes, which affects your review score.

• Workers can now be upgraded, improving their performance on the job.

• Worker boosting removed. Since workers are now upgradable, the boost mechanic is no longer needed.

⚙️ Other

• Ski Mini-Game Rework: The slalom mini-game has been redesigned from obstacles to rewards.

• Steam Achievements are now live, with 5 new additions and custom icons.

• Hotel sign updated with 3D stars that light up based on your current review score.

• New sign design added as a purchasable upgrade.

• Icicles now fall on their own after 3–5 days if left unhandled, costing you XP or money.

• Bar bottles now visually empty as their contents are used.

• Juice bottles redesigned to be easier to tell apart.

• UI & UX improvements throughout the game.

• "Guide" tab added, giving you access to all in-game hints whenever you need them.

• Store profit margin increased.

• Shelf-stocking and restocking system updated.

• Full controller support (PS5 & Xbox) added with version 0.4.0
