Hello,
This is JINO Games.

Firstly, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for your immense interest and support for "Goodbye Seoul"

The next stop for Goodbye Seoul will be G-Star scheduled for the second half of 2024.

Additionally, we plan to communicate more frequently through social media and community channels, consistently reflecting our development progress and any changes in the demo version. We also have various events planned for the latter half of the year, so please stay tuned.

Meeting you and hearing your valuable feedback at recent events like the Busan Indie Connect (BIC) Festival, Gamescom, WCG, China Joy, and BitSummit has been incredibly encouraging. Your interest and support are the driving forces behind us!

Today, we would like to provide our first official update regarding the game's release schedule. While previous updates have been conveyed indirectly through various media, we decided to address these queries directly due to the growing curiosity. Originally, as reported through these channels, we had planned to release the game in early access (EA) in the latter half of 2024. However, after much deliberation and extensive discussions with our partner NEOWIZ, we have decided to transition directly to a full release next year without an early access phase. The reasons for this decision are as follows:

The Level of Polish

The previous early access schedule was not systematically planned. As a solo-dev releasing a game for the first time, my initial short-term goals were somewhat hastily set due to a lack of knowledge and experience in the gaming industry. Through collaboration with experts at NEOWIZ, we conducted in-depth reviews and testing, ultimately concluding that a schedule change is essential for a more polished game.

A Narrative-Driven Game

"Goodbye Seoul" is a puzzle game centered around its narrative. We believe that delivering a complete story from start to finish aligns better with the nature of the game than a partial early access release.

Various Events and Opportunities

We realized that through smooth collaboration with NEOWIZ and by participating in numerous events both large and small, we could seize opportunities to offer a higher-quality game.

We kindly ask for your understanding regarding the revised schedule, and we will continue to keep you updated through our official channels.

We will meticulously check the stability and quality of the game in the remaining time, doing our utmost to present an even better game.

We will continue to work hard to meet your expectations and support.

Thank you very much

JINO Games.

In this dev note, I’d like to talk about the “temperature” of space — the feeling players experience when they first step into a fictional world. I want to briefly share some of the thoughts behind filling the screen with traces of human warmth, and how I’m trying to bring that into the game. 👣 Beyond Visual Realism — Creating a Living World…
