Version 1.57 is out.

The centerpiece is the Player Directory. Every player now has a written profile of their own, presented on a single card with their photo, bio and stats. Better yet, a snapshot of the directory is kept at the end of every season, so you can look back at any past year. This update also adds Past Game Records that keep the box score of finished games, a reorganized League History screen, international tournament stats, and an Auto Roster that lets the CPU manage your squad.

Player Directory - a written profile for every player

  • Open the Player Directory from the menu to browse a club's entire roster as cards
  • Each card shows the jersey number, photo, position, bats/throws, height and weight, age and pro years - and a written profile of that player
  • Profiles are written from the player's strengths and weaknesses, last season's numbers, their standing and their history
  • The bottom of each card lists last season's and career stats
  • Filter by pitchers / catchers / infielders / outfielders, switch clubs, and switch between majors, farm and development players
  • Click a card to open the full player details
  • Profiles are localized in English, Korean and Traditional Chinese
  • The directory has a year selector: every finished season leaves behind the directory as it was that year
  • Past directories keep the club, jersey number, age, stats and profile of that time - retired players appear as they were
  • Go back as many years as you like to re-read "who was that player that year?" (applies to seasons finished on this version or later)

Past Game Records - revisit finished games

  • Box scores of finished games are now stored, so you can revisit them later - inning-by-inning runs, both teams' batting lines and every pitching appearance
  • Two ways in: from a date on the calendar, or from the "Games" tab in League History, which lists that year's games
  • The game list supports filtering by month and switching between My Team / All Teams. Click a game to open the same result screen you see after a match
  • Finished days on the calendar also show the starting pitchers
  • Choose how much to keep in the settings: Keep All / Last 3 Seasons / This Season Only / Do Not Keep. The settings screen shows the current storage size

International Tournament - see every nation's stats

  • The tournament screen now has All Nations' Stats - batting and pitching lines, filterable by country
  • During tournament games, the lineup list shows stats (AVG / ERA)
  • Click any player during the tournament - including opposing nations' players - to see their details

Auto Roster - choose how much to delegate

  • A new Auto Roster section in the settings with four switches you can toggle individually
  • Send Down Struggling Players - lets slumping players rebuild themselves on the farm
  • Call Up Hot Farm Players - promotes players who are producing in the minors
  • Rest Tired Players - sends worn-out players down to recover, and brings them back when ready
  • Swap Out Weakest Starter - replaces the bottom of your rotation with a hot farm starter
  • Everything is off by default - if you prefer to run the roster yourself, nothing changes
  • Locked players are never touched by any of these

Use them in any combination - "drop the slumping veterans for me, but let me judge the prospects myself." If you like running long full-auto careers, give it a try.

Gameplay adjustments

  • Steals now resolve with the pitch. If the batter fouls it off, the runner returns (previously a steal could succeed on a foul ball, against the rules). On first pitch goes on that pitch; Read the situation keeps looking for the next chance after a foul
  • Strike-'em-out-throw-'em-out double plays can now happen when a swinging strikeout coincides with a caught stealing
  • The pitch chart now updates during bunt attempts - and the previous batter's chart no longer lingers

Fixes from your reports

  • Fixed players becoming unable to play when the foreign-player limit was exceeded. Saves already in this state are repaired automatically on load
  • Fixed the post-game batting lines appearing in an order unrelated to the batting order
  • Fixed female pitchers losing their edited velocity over the course of a season
  • Fixed the roster screen jumping back to the batters tab when the pitchers tab was selected
  • Fixed being unable to trade repeatedly - you can keep negotiating after completing a deal
  • Fixed the bracket lingering behind the roster screen when opened from the postseason PRE-MATCH
  • Corrected some ERA displays to be based on earned runs (8 places)
  • Added a rest indicator so you can tell when a player was automatically rested
  • Fixed misaligned stat-table headers and inconsistent font sizes, misplaced development-player badges, and broken OPS formatting
  • Fixed farm simulations erasing major-league records

Thank you for all the reports - please keep them coming.
