Version 1.53 is out!
This update has two headline features: the International Tournament and a full club business overhaul. Sixteen national teams now battle for the world title with you as your nation's manager, while sponsors, merchandise and owner goals make running the club itself far more interesting. There's also an option to generate pre-game careers for your starting players — a treat for the simulation crowd.
International Tournament — 16 nations, one world title

- 16 national teams compete through a 4-group stage into an 8-team knockout bracket for the world title
- Your nation's team is yours to build and manage. Pick the roster from position-grouped candidates and name a starting pitcher for every game. You can even call up players buried on farm teams
- National team games can be watched or managed pitch-by-pitch — or just skip to the results
- Other nations' players are not throwaways: they age, develop and retire between tournaments. Meet a grown-up rival again a few years down the road
- The tournament has its own MVP and Best Nine, recorded in each player's career log and tournament stats
- Win it all and the clubs that sent players to the squad gain popularity. Past tournaments can be revisited in the records
How it runs — format, home nation and difficulty

- Three formats: offseason, mid-season (July) — the tournament runs alongside your season — or pre-season (March)
- In the mid-season format, players called up to national duty can't play club games while the tournament runs. Covering for your missing stars is part of the pennant race. You can switch between league and tournament screens at any time
- Choose your home nation — the country you manage — from all 16
- Three difficulty levels, if you want the world to feel like a wall
- Hold it every year, every 2 years or every 4. Configure everything from the new-game wizard or Settings — you can enable it mid-save
Club business — the BUSINESS OPERATIONS console

- The business tab is now a dedicated full-screen console covering finances, sponsors, merchandise and owner goals in one place
- Management modes have been expanded: Auto leaves everything to the club as before, Semi-Auto lets you make the key calls, and Manual puts every order and contract in your hands. Choose at new game, change anytime in Settings
- Not into management? Stay on Auto and play exactly as before. The depth is there only for those who want it
Sponsors — read the economy, land the big deal

- Sponsors now come in three tiers: Main Partner, Official, and Suppliers — from the name on your jersey down to small goods partners, every deal has its own weight
- Each sponsor belongs to an industry with its own economy, charted in two-week steps. Sign a booming industry and the money follows — contract length becomes a real gamble
- The offers you receive scale with your club's popularity. Win games, grow the fanbase, attract bigger deals
- In Semi-Auto and Manual you pick the companies yourself, with offers on the table from before opening day of year one
Merchandise — make it, sell it, cash in on the memories

- Plan and order club merchandise. Start with the staple uniforms, towels and caps — new products unlock as your total sales grow
- Player merchandise too. Whose goods to make is your marketing call
- Mark the big moments — title wins, pennants, championships, career milestones — with commemorative merchandise
- Order against the demand forecast. Overreach and you'll be discounting leftovers next season — and paying disposal fees for what still won't sell. Semi-Auto and Manual also get an auto-restock option for when stock runs low
Owner goals, and how the AI clubs balance their books
- The owner now hands you a goal each year — standings, profitability or youth development, depending on the club's situation — with a bonus for meeting it. Keep missing and the budget shrinks; keep missing after that and you're fired (only if enabled — the whole feature can be turned off)
- AI clubs now live within their means. Clubs carrying payrolls their income can't support will shed players in the offseason — big-name releases make the news, and your shopping list
- The finance screen now shows merchandise sales, order costs and special expenses, with money formatting unified across every screen
Pre-generated careers — start in a world with a history

- Some of you asked for pre-2026 stats; others said no thanks — career records should be earned. So it's a setting, and both camps are covered
- At new game you can generate "career-so-far" stats for every starting player (wizard option, off by default)
- Turn it on and veterans' year-by-year tables fill with their whole career, counted into career totals — a world where a slugger sits just shy of 2,000 career hits from day one
- Prefer to build every record from scratch? Leave it off and start with a clean slate as before
Foreign players' pre-arrival careers

- Foreign players now show year-by-year stats from their overseas careers — majors and minors in the US, or the Korean, Taiwanese and Australian leagues, depending on nationality
- A raw talent stuck in the minors, or a proven big-league bat? Scouting before you sign just got more interesting. A "joined club" entry appears in the career log; these stats don't count toward career totals
Other updates & fixes
- Fixed defensive replacements sometimes happening automatically during watched games against your tactics settings. Also added a "Defensive subs: auto even while watching" usage-policy option for those who want them handled
- Fixed box scores omitting players who only pinch-ran or entered on defense, and dropping their runs from the totals. Everyone who appears in a game now makes the box score
- Fixed runs scored on passed balls and similar plays sometimes going unrecorded in player stats
- Fixed relievers converted to closer becoming impossible to convert back
- Contract renewal tabs now show pending-item badges so offseason business is harder to miss
- When a foreign player no longer counts against the foreign-player limit due to years of service, it's now announced in the news and reflected in their profile badge
- Audited all four languages for clipped text and fixed many cases across stat headers, schedule and standings
- The post-fall-camp button label now matches what actually comes next
- Fixed incorrect money units in the English display
- Fixed error messages when launching outside of Steam
