Version 1.50 is out.
The headliners this time are two-way players and the Active Draft. Alongside them come Monthly MVP awards, WAR, a calendar schedule and FA player compensation — a batch of updates that make your league's year feel more like the real thing.
Two-Way Players

- Two-way players have arrived. They can start on the mound while batting as DH, and keep batting as DH after leaving the game
- Three two-way players join the default rosters, and rare two-way talents occasionally appear in the draft and scouting
- Batting, growth, fatigue, WAR, MVP — both sides of their game mesh together. You can also rest them from the lineup on their start days
Active Draft

- An Active Draft is now held after the rookie draft. Every club submits two players short on playing time, and every club gains one player and loses one
- Just like the real system, the club whose player was taken picks next. Round two is optional
- You choose both who to submit and who to select (or leave it to auto). Every move is recorded in the news and player histories
- Will you rescue a buried prospect from another club, or watch your own hidden gem walk away? A new off-season drama
Monthly MVP
- Monthly MVP awards are in. Using the same periods as the real league (Mar-Apr through Sep-Oct), one batter and one pitcher per league are honored each month
- Awards appear in the news and are kept in player histories and the season archive. A two-way player can even win both at once
Tryouts — bring edited players into a running save

- Players you create in the editor (including Quick Scout) can now join a save that is already in progress
- The Tryout channel in the Reinforcement menu lists new players that don't exist in this save yet. Review their abilities and profile, then set your own salary offer and sign them (1-year deal, farm start)
- Pay them fairly, or lowball them — your call. Signing closes at the end of July, same as the real roster registration deadline
New Metric: WAR
- The all-in-one value metric WAR has been added. Batters are valued by batting, fielding, steals and positional difficulty; pitchers by run prevention — all expressed as wins above a replacement-level player
- It is recalculated from your league's own run environment every season, so the numbers stay meaningful with mod teams or unusual scoring levels
- WAR appears in season stats and the season review, and is included in CSV exports
The Schedule Is Now a Calendar

- The schedule tab is now a monthly calendar (the classic list view is still available). Dates, weekdays, day/night games, interleague and the All-Star break are all visible at a glance
- The schedule itself now follows the real league's weekly rhythm: Tue-Thu and Fri-Sun series, Mondays off, opening day on the last Friday of March
- Calendar cells show probable starters, and you can still fast-forward to any game with ▶
- Preseason games appear in the schedule tab too
Schedule and Preseason at Real-World Levels
- The opening series is now always three games. Two-game series, which used to pile up in April, are spread across the season
- September is denser and the season now ends in early October, much closer to the real pennant race
- The preseason is now 16 games with Mondays off (it used to be 24 games played daily)
FA Player Compensation
- FA compensation now offers the real-world player compensation option (28-man protected list, cash plus a player). Switch anytime in new-game or in-game settings
- Sign another club's free agent and you choose your own 28 protected players; the other club then claims one player from outside your list. Lose a free agent and it's your turn to claim from theirs
Smarter Trades, Any Time
- CPU clubs no longer sell their stars cheap. Landing a core player takes a comparable player in return, and freshly acquired players are no longer flipped right away
- Trade offers can now arrive any time during the season, not just at month's end (with a rush before the deadline). CPU-to-CPU trades happen naturally too
- The trade screen gains a team filter, and the list no longer jumps back to the top when you scroll
The Hit-and-Run Is Real Now
- On a hit-and-run, the runner's fate is now tied to the batted ball. A grounder kills the double play, a single takes the extra base, a swing-and-miss becomes a straight steal — and a fly ball risks doubling the runner off
- No more runners advancing regardless of the ball in play. It's a proper risk-and-reward play now
Managing Improvements
- In pitch-calling mode you can now call every pitch against a bunting hitter (those at-bats used to resolve all at once)
- Playing through a minor injury now has real consequences, and injury news names the body part (shoulder, elbow, and so on)
- Fixed a bug where your players could be demoted to the minors automatically after a slump
- DH appearances are now recorded correctly regardless of batting-order slot
Bug Fixes
- Fixed wRC+ showing 0 for everyone
- Fixed team renames made in the new-game wizard not appearing on the team select step
- Fixed amateur careers of older free agents showing things like a 33-year-old in high school (high school 18, college 19-22, industrial league after that)
- Added the age column to pitcher stat tables (matching batter tables)
Closing
This update fills out the events and numbers that frame a league year. Monthly MVPs crown a hero for every stretch of the season, and the Active Draft writes new transfer drama into the off-season. With two-way players and mid-season tryouts for your edited players, your league should feel a little more real again.
Thank you as always for the feedback. The Active Draft, tryouts and the schedule overhaul all grew out of your voices. Keep it coming — if something feels off or gets in your way, please let us know.
