Two Weeks Since the Announcement

The announcement week was a rush, but it went better than I expected! A lot of you seem excited about Drone Sector - we’ve already surpassed 400+ wishlists. Thanks for following along!

Looking Ahead: The Next Milestone

As part of the development roadmap, I’m planning to kick off private playtesting early next year, potentially as soon as January. The focus for this first round will be on gathering feedback about the core gameplay loop: engaging ground targets while keeping your own ground troops alive.

Initially, the demo will feature one level with a handful of enemy types. Over time, I hope to expand testing with additional levels and mission types.

If you’d like to be part of this early testing group, sign up for my mailing list! Participants for the first demo will be selected exclusively from the list.

A big reaso…Game update31 Aug 2026v0.2.1 - HUD & Vehicle Improvementsv0.2.1 - HUD & Vehicle Improvements Improved unit tracking and HUD readability, alongside better vehicle driving and collision avoidance. Added · Unit type icons now appear when zooming far out, making it easier to see what enemy types are where. · Icons of the same unit type merge into larger grouped icons when close together. · Replaced the old unit icons with a new, simpler set designed spec…In-game event24 Aug 2026v0.2.0 - Vehicle TransportThis is the first update since launch a month ago that brings larger gameplay changes rather than mainly fixes and improvements. Vehicle transport had been in my plans for a while, but player feedback pushed it to the top of my gameplay priorities. Bugs and the worst pathfinding problems still came first, but this became the main new system I wanted to get into the game. Vehicle Transport Infan…
